🔥 WHEN THE PITCH CLOSED… THE LEARNING DIDN’T. 🔥

This week’s heatwave meant getting out on the pitch simply wasn’t the right thing to do. 🌡️ Player welfare will always come first.

So instead of cancelling… we adapted. 💡

For the first time ever, we took our coaching into a player’s home with an in-person “Think Like A Top Striker” presentation for one of our 1:1 players, Imogen, as she prepares for her Brentford FC trial this weekend. ⚽🔴

Because developing players isn’t just about what happens on the pitch…

It’s about giving them the tools to perform off it too. 🧠

We covered:
✅ The role of the modern No.9
✅ Intelligent movement patterns
✅ Finishing techniques every striker should master
✅ Decision making in front of goal
✅ Developing an elite striker’s mindset
✅ How to respond after missing chances
✅ Confidence, resilience & performance habits

Could we have trained in the heat? 🤔

If it’s safe and conditions allow, then absolutely. Sometimes it’s no different to training on a cold, wet winter evening you don’t always feel like doing it, but you find something inside yourself, get out there and put the work in. 💪

This week, though, we felt the smarter decision was to protect our players and use the opportunity to develop another side of their game.

Because footballers aren’t just built with touches and shots…

They’re built through knowledge, understanding and mindset. 📈
