Upon Angels Wings https://www.facebook.com/findingrainbowscharity After getting married it is tradition to keep your wedding dress for many reasons.

"Upon Angels Wings" is a Project run by Finding Rainbows, where we transform wedding dresses into beautiful Angel Gowns for babies born sleeping, NICU Angels, and SIDS. Historically they were made into a christening gown, kept for your daughter to wear or as a memento of that special day. In reality most wedding dresses end up hanging in the wardrobe taking up space or left unloved in a box in the loft … hidden away never to be used again. Upon Angels Wings transform these wedding dresses into unique angel gowns for babies that are born asleep. These special gowns are then donated to grieving families within Greater Manchester and beyond, to support them in their time of loss and heartbreak.

Upon Angel's wings is a project under Finding Rainbows where a team makes Angel gowns and layettes, these are then passed to funeral directors, Hospitals, children's hospices, direct to families.

Thanks to Karen and Sherri for organising this, and the ladies from Ashton Stitchers for attending to talk about the knitting they are involved in. As a result, we gained new knitters :)
