Dagnall VA Church of England School's playground used to serve just its youngest pupils, one corner of grass and an old goalpost. Working with the school, we designed a space with real challenge for Key Stage 2 as well as Early Years, plus a dedicated Corner Stage for assemblies and performance.

A timber play frame and trail, climb net, roll over bars, monkey bar log, a toddler shelter and a whisper bench, all set on new artificial grass that's safer, lower-maintenance and built to last.

Outdoor learning is disappearing as children move through primary school.

Latest research from the Association of Play Industries found that play-based learning drops from 98% in EYFS to just 10% in KS2.

As an API member, we believe outdoor spaces should support learning at every age, not just during the early years.

🛝 Faded and worn. Reimagined and ready to play!

The Spinney Playground had seen better days - now it’s been transformed for Hazlemere Parish Council. At the heart of it: a brand new Osmoz Junior 4 multiplay unit for climbing, sliding, and social play, plus a caterpillar bridge for balance and coordination. We built a bespoke octagonal seat right around the playground’s mature central tree, keeping it as the space’s focal point. And scattered throughout: sensory features like a texture turtle panel, rain wheel, and bongo tree, giving every visit something new to discover.

🎪 Big stilts, bigger smiles!

Stilt walkers were seen out on the high street at Princes Risborough Summer Festival this Saturday, towering above the crowds in bright costumes and adding a bit of extra colour and energy to the day, proudly sponsored by Caloo!
