Lead acid or lithium. Here is the honest answer.

Lead acid: lower upfront cost, heavier, slower to charge, shorter lifespan. Works well for occasional pool sessions and leisure use where runtime and weight are not the priority.

Lithium-Ion: lighter, faster charge, lasts considerably longer cycle to cycle. The better choice for regular diving, longer sessions, and anything deeper than a leisure swim.

Most of the Aquatoys range runs on Li-Ion and there is a straightforward reason for that.

The best paddle session you will have this autumn might be after dark.

The Aqua Marina RAY has a fully integrated LED system built into the board. Seven colours, four light modes, and a music-reactive Chameleon setting that turns a quiet lake into something spectacular.

Underneath the light show is a seriously capable board. 11 feet, 33 inches wide, 150 kg payload, TPU construction lighter and tougher than standard PVC.

3m: pools, snorkelling, and surface play. Perfect for families, holiday parks, and leisure centre sessions.

20m: recreational diving and open water swimming. The right level for most confident swimmers and scuba divers.

30m: deeper recreational dives and serious exploration. For divers who regularly go beyond 20 metres.

40m: advanced divers and professional use.

Buying for family holidays or pool sessions, anything in the 3 to 20 metre range covers everything you need. Diving deeper regularly, look at 30 metres and above.
