June is very nearly here and there is plenty going on at Pilates with Laura!
My in-person classes are running throughout the month at Potton Hall, Wilbury Hall, Loves Farm House and Maple Tree Primary School. This month we are working through movements from the classical Pilates mat repertoire, so make sure you bring your mat and any props you might need. I do still have spaces available in the 17.55 class at Wilbury Hall and the 18.05 class at Loves Farm House - come and join us! Full details on all my in-person classes can be found on my website.
Online, my live-stream schedule is almost fully running throughout June with a class every morning Monday to Saturday. Each session has its own plan and focus so there is plenty of variety. The only exceptions are Saturday 13th June and Friday 19th June when no classes will run. Five new videos have also just been added to my on-demand library for you to enjoy in your own time.
My Wednesday morning Fit & Strong: Cardio & Strength class at Potton Hall is running as normal throughout June. This is the only drop-in class - no booking required, just turn up!

Yesterday’s classes marked the end of our Foam Roller sessions for a while.
Props are wonderful things. They can support you through a movement, or dial up the challenge when you are ready for it. But sometimes the most powerful thing is to strip it all back.
For those of you who come to my in-person classes, for the next few weeks it is just you and the mat. No props, no extras. Pure Pilates.
There is something really special about returning to the mat. It is where good practice lives.
See you on the mat.

If you love the feeling of a good aerobics class but want something that is gentle on the joints and works at your own pace, this one is for you.
Fit & Strong: Cardio & Strength is my Wednesday morning class at Potton Hall for All in Potton, Bedfordshire. It blends low-impact cardio, gentle strength work and balance training - all set to music and suitable for all levels.
It is the kind of class that leaves you feeling energised rather than exhausted. The sort of session that supports your body for everyday life - better balance, stronger muscles, more confidence in how you move.
There is no booking required. Just turn up, say hello and give it a go. Classes run every Wednesday from 10.00 to 10.50 and it is just £8 per session, payable by cash or bank transfer on the day.
I have a class tomorrow morning if you fancy joining us. It would be lovely to see some new faces.
Any questions, drop me a message or head to www.pilateswithlaura.co.uk

“I sleep so much better since starting Pilates.”
One of the things I love most about what I do is hearing how Pilates is making a difference outside of class.
This week a member mentioned that she has been sleeping so much better since she started coming. She was almost surprised by it.
I wasn’t.
When we move well, breathe well and give our nervous system a chance to settle, the ripple effects show up in all sorts of places. Better sleep is one of the most common things members notice, often within the first few weeks.

New blog post is live!
I have been wanting to write this one for a while. If you have ever wondered what the difference is between Classical and Contemporary Pilates, or why the method has evolved over the years, this one is for you.
I have also included a passage written by Joseph Pilates himself that I think is well worth a read.
Head to https://pilateswithlaura.co.uk/classical-and-contemporary-pilates/ to give it a read and let me know what you think.

April is nearly here and there is plenty to look forward to.
A few things worth knowing for April:
Classes with me always continue throughout the school holidays, so no need to worry about disruption to your routine. The only exception is bank holidays — I do take a rest on those.
That means the only sessions not running this month are Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Monday 6th April over the Easter weekend. Everything else continues as normal.
Foam rollers are here to stay for all in-person classes. After a great month of rolling in March, we will keep feeling the benefits session after session as the roller continues to assist and challenge our bodies in equal measure.
Classes continue to be well attended and it is lovely to see. If you have been thinking about joining me in person, there is still space available on Monday mornings at 11.05 at Potton Hall for All. A great way to start your week.
Fit & Strong: Cardio & Strength continues every Wednesday morning at Potton Hall for All, 10.00–10.50. No booking needed, just turn up. Cash or bank transfer on the door. £8.
All live-stream classes are running as normal, Monday through Saturday every morning. If you are not already joining me online, now is a great time to start.
As always, if you have any questions just drop me a message.

New blog post is live!
I had a lovely conversation with one of my class members recently, and it got me thinking about how we approach exercise. Combined with a webinar I attended called ‘Doing Exercise Differently’, I’ve put my thoughts down in a new blog.
It’s about finding what works for you and making movement fit into your life in a way that feels good. Have a read and let me know what you think.

A little note from me.
Some of you who join my live-stream classes may have noticed that Cassie, my cat, hasn’t been making her usual appearances in recent weeks. Very sadly, she passed away a couple of weeks ago.
She was a lovely companion and often the uninvited co-instructor in my virtual sessions. I’ve missed her presence, both on and off the mat.
Thank you for being supportive. It means a lot.
