⚽ Bedwas FC 0–1 Cromwell Youth AFC
Two of the early-season big hitters went head-to-head in a top-of-the-table clash, and it was Cromwell Youth AFC who came away with the points after a hard-fought 1–0 victory.
For Bedwas, it brings our unbeaten winning run to an end, a disappointing result, absolutely, but there was plenty in the performance to be proud of. 🖤💛
🔥 FIRST HALF
From the opening whistle, you could tell this was going to be a proper battle.
Bedwas saw plenty of the ball and dominated possession for large spells of the first half. We created opportunities, moved the ball well and kept pushing forward, but we simply couldn't find a way past the Cromwell goalkeeper.
Credit where it's due, their keeper produced an excellent performance and proved incredibly difficult to beat. 👏🧤
Cromwell managed to get themselves in front, leaving Bedwas with work to do.

🔥 SECOND HALF – 45 MINUTES OF BATTLE
The second half turned into a proper grassroots football battle. 👊⚽
Both sides competed for absolutely everything.
Bedwas pushed hard looking for the equaliser, while Cromwell continued to create opportunities of their own.
Challenges were flying in, both teams were giving everything and neither side was prepared to take a backwards step.
And one thing's for certain…
😂 THE REFEREE DEFINITELY EARNED HIS MATCH FEE TODAY! 😂
Despite our best efforts, that equaliser just wouldn't come and the score remained 0–1 at the final whistle.
