Another large stump removal completed recently 🌳💪

This project involved the removal of a heavily decayed Horse Chestnut stump that had unfortunately become unsafe due to significant decay at the base of the tree.

We were subcontracted in by RFP Tree & Landscapes to carry out the stump grinding works after the tree had been removed. The stump itself measured approximately 9ft across at the base, with the root system spreading an estimated 14–15ft underground — making this a substantial removal project.

One of the biggest challenges on this job was access. We only had around 27 inches through a standard garden gate, which meant our Predator grinder was the largest machine we could physically get into the area. Despite the tight access restrictions, we were still able to fully grind out the stump and tackle the extensive root system safely and efficiently.

Once the grinding works were completed, RFP Tree & Landscapes returned to remove the mulch and leave the area flat, clean, and tidy 👏

Catherine plays a huge role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes here at No More Stumps 🌿

From handling customer enquiries and bookings to pricing jobs and organising schedules, she helps make sure every customer experience is friendly, efficient, and stress-free from start to finish. She’s often one of the very first people our customers speak to — and regularly receives fantastic feedback for being approachable, helpful, and organised.

Outside of work, Catherine loves cooking from scratch, growing fruit and vegetables with her children, long walks with her dogs, and escaping to the beach whenever she can 🌊🐾

When she’s not doing that, you’ll probably find her supporting her son from the sidelines at football — whatever the weather! ⚽
