It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew McCarthy (Matt), who died peacefully at home on 30th July 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved partner of the late Bernice Campbell.
Matt will be forever loved and sadly missed by his heartbroken family: his mother Jean, his daughters Andrea, Caoimhe and Gena.
His twin brother Jim, his sisters Ann, Susan and Teresa.
His cherished grandchildren and all his nieces, nephews, wider family and friends.
Matt was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and will be deeply missed by all.

Matt’s Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, 3rd August, at 10:00am in Holy Cross Chapel, followed by burial in Milltown Cemetery.

Burns Ray passed away 26th July 2026 at the City Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Husband of the late Marie Burns.
Ray will be sorely missed by his loving mother Rita, brothers Gerard and Steven, and sisters Michelle and Brenda as well as immediate family members.
Ray will also be sorely missed by family members in Leicester England, Kevin and Anna Cassidy, and also Maria, Martina, Angela, Shannon and Nicola Cassidy. As well as all the other grandchildren he had there.
Ray is being waked and remains for viewing at PJ Brown’s chapel of rest, 420 Oldpark Road on Wednesday and Thursday 9.00 am – 4.00 pm.
Ray will leave for cremation at Roselawn crematorium on Friday 31st July 2026 for funeral service at 10.40am.
Refreshments and celebration of Ray’s life afterwards at Cassidy’s Bar, Antrim Road 12.00 pm -3. 00 pm for anyone who wishes to remember him. All are welcome.

Elliman, Bernard (Brian) – passed away suddenly in The Royal Victoria Hospital on Monday 27th July 2026. Will be deeply missed by his entire family circle.

McDonnell Bernard died 26th July 2026 peacefully at N I Hospice surround by family.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our beloved brother, Bernard McDonnell, after his courageous battle with cancer.
He is back in the loving arms of our Mum, Dad, brother Joseph & his nephew Ciaran.
Bernard will be waked from his sister Bridget’s home on Monday 27th July, 6 Flax Mew’s Belfast until he leaves at 2.45pm for cremation in Roselawn Crematorium on Wednesday 29th July 2026 service in Roselawn at 4pm.

It is with great sadness we announce the extremely sudden passing of the late Eilish Doherty (nee) Harrison, who passed away surrounded by her loving and devoted children Terry, Cliodhna, Cormac and John.

Much loved mother and grandmother.

Eilish will repose at her home address 73 Velsheda Park Belfast. The family would ask that on Thursday 23rd, the house will be for family only, and friends are welcome to call from 24th onwards to pay their respects.

The life of Eilish will be celebrated on 27th July at 10am in Holy Cross Church followed by burial at Belfast City Cemetery.

Refreshments in Lower Falls social club (Cyprus street) from 1pm.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nursing staff of the RVH for the last three weeks for looking after Eilish.

Eilish is now at peace in the loving’s arms of her beloved son Pearse.
