East Yorkshire Riding Club

07/10/2026

Great to see East Yorkshire Riding Club, after their win last year, still in the top 10 this year — finishing 6th in the BRC 2026 Championship League.

We had qualified five teams, a Pairs team and six individuals for the 2026 Lincoln National Championships before the event was unfortunately cancelled, which really went against us. Otherwise, I’m sure we’d have been a little higher up the standings.

Well done to everyone who contributed to this — a fantastic achievement! 👏

Charity Photo Competition Results!

Congratulations to the winners of our Mandy Memorial Charity Photo Competition in aid of Mull RDA:
🏆 1st – Ruby Wild
🥈 2nd – Vicky Harrison
🥉 3rd – Michaela Mounfield
🏅 4th – Lola Snowden
Ruby wins the silver cup and a framed copy of her photograph.

A huge thank you to everyone who entered and supported the competition. Together we raised a fantastic further £350 for Mull RDA! ❤️

Member Carol Wild recently visited the Isle of Mull and she was able to see first-hand how our donations over the years have helped the charity. Our fundraising has contributed towards such things as benches dedicated in Mandy's memory, a new mounting block, arena surface, safety helmets, and even helped towards the purchase of a wonderful new Highland pony called Drum. A few photos are included below that she took whilst there. Everyone at Mull RDA asked her to pass on a huge thank you to you all.

Well done everyone and thank you for helping make the event such a success.

Inclusive by design 💙

BRC are committed to removing barriers our members can face when competing.
Changes we’ve made so far include:

✅Allowing different colour jodhpurs, moving away from the traditional white or beige only option which can create a barrier to women in sport
✅Removing the compulsory rule to wear gloves in Dressage competitions – providing flexibility for sensory processing differences
✅Allowing Dressage callers at Champs – removing a barrier for those with conditions that affect memory

All BRC members can also apply for Reasonable Adjustments if they are experiencing barriers due to health conditions (including hidden disabilities). Forms are available to download on ➡️ https://www.bhs.org.uk/british-riding-clubs/competitions/brc-downloads/

East Yorkshire RC is once again on the leaderboard, sitting proudly in 3rd place in the BRC Championship League 🥳 Well done to everyone involved, keep up the good work!

🎉We have reached the halfway point in the 2026 BRC Championship season and the league table has been updated following the Arena Eventing Championships🎉

Saffron Walden have extended their lead, but many new names have joined them in the top 10. Across all the winter championships, 75 clubs have recorded at least one top-three finish.

👀Want to see your club climb the leaderboard? Find out about the summer qualifiers going on in your area on our website!

Please note the leaderboard includes both team and individual top 3 results in BRC Championship classes (it DOES NOT include individual arena placings - overall individuals ONLY). Where there is a tie in overall top 3 placings, team placings take priority over individual results for the final leaderboard! ⭐

Our Junior Grassroots Team, Elija Visniauskaite with JB, Lola Snowden with Hebbie, Darcie Wild with Bella, and Billie-Grace Featherstone with Corey have had an incredible day, taking the win at the Grassroots Championship! Huge congratulations to all of you, what an amazing achievement. We’re so proud!
A special shoutout to Elija, who was also crowned Overall Grassroots Champion after placing 1st with a brilliant 75.45%! This new partnership also topped their other class in the Intermediate Championship with an impressive 72.05%.
