G4 is the leading private health club in North Devon, the new, state of the art fitness centre is based in outstanding facilities in Bideford on the Daddon Moor Business Park, off the Clovelly Road. Our friendly team is focused on helping and supporting our members in achieving all their health and fitness goals. Our team of fully qualified instructors genuinely care and take interest in all our members and are known to be the most inspiring, motivational instructors in the area! The fully air-conditioned centre is extremely spacious, light and airy (8000 square feet) with a comprehensive range of equipment suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. The gym has four Olympic Lifting platforms, a full range of Pulse equipment with Treadmills , Concept II rowers, Cross Trainers, Ski Erg, Stairmaster, Assault Bike and a huge selection of free weights, bars, benches and functional training equipment. Along with great gym facilities, there is a Spin studio housing 21 Matrix spin cycles and a large multi-use studio where we hold a range of group exercise sessions including Pilates, Clubbacize, Yoga, HiiT, Bootcamp and kickboxing. I know a lot of you have been asking the team about the Winter Ball this year and I know this post will be disappointing.

I had booked and planned for the annual G4 Winter Ball especially as we are celebrating 10 years of G4 however these past few months have been extremely difficult for me personally and sadly I just don't have the heart to organise it this year.

Tracy was a huge help to me behind the scenes and she loved to glam up every year - the dress & shoes buying was an event in itself! 🥰
Right now, I just cannot face turning up knowing she won't be there. 💔

I will organise something fun over the next few months for us to get together, have a few drinks & giggles and I promise to come back strong next year for you all with a fantastic party to make up for missing out this year. 🧡

Today we say our final farewell to Tracy.

Please bear with us....we may not be as quick with messages and enquiries as usual but the gym is staffed and open throughout the day and classes will go ahead as scheduled this evening....just as Tracy would have wanted. 🧡

Our 4-week Begin to Spin sessions start WEDNESDAY 9th SEPTEMBER at 6pm

The sessions last approximately 30 minutes and over the 4 weeks we will show you everything you need to be able to join in confidently with our G4 spin classes.

Spin classes are a great way to get a fantastic cardio workout and get a massive hit of feel-good happy hormones without stressing your joints 😇

Our incredible team of instructors, fully air-conditioned studio with immersive lighting scenes and some banging tunes 🎶 will keep you coming back for more and you'll soon understand why over 250 people spin every single week at G4! 🤩

Followed by a gathering at the Crealock Arms, Littleham from 1pm.

Dress code:
Formal attire for the service.
Fit kit (sportswear) for the Crealock.

You are welcome to change at G4 for convenience.

I am absolutely heartbroken to tell you that Tracy passed away peacefully at home earlier today with her beloved James & Jay by her side.

Tracy left as she lived; strong, brave and on her own terms.

G4 won't ever be the same without her.
She is simply irreplaceable and we will all miss her in so many ways.
She was so special.....beautiful inside and out.

An incredible woman who was fierce yet gentle, tough but so kind-hearted and a woman whose unforgettable, vibrant & incorrigible spirit will be so deeply missed by all of us who loved her.

We will do all we can to continue to show up for you but please bear with us.
We are devastated but we will pull together like we always do to support Jay, James and each other.

We have a big G4 platoon getting involved with Mission Unbreakable this year.

If you want to join us, get yourself signed up and add yourself to the G4 team on the Mission Unbreakable booking system.

We don't do this event competitively....we do it for a laugh and to support North Devon Hospice.
So if you're worried about fitness or holding everyone up - don't!
Nobody gets left behind....we start and finish together 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

As many of you know, Tracy has been living with a terminal cancer diagnosis for the past 7 years. And what an incredible 7 years it's been!

During that time she completed her Level 2 Gym Instructor course and became a spin instructor as well as teaching all sorts of classes including Rope Burn, Boxercise, Body Sculpt and Fit For Life - earning herself the very apt nickname; The Silent Assassin for her silent but deadly approach to teaching.

Tracy has been a huge inspiration to so many people and the way she's handled the various treatments and the horrible side effects has been nothing short of heroic. She has been the very best example of living with cancer because boy has she done some living!
Always up for a holiday, an adventure, a giggle and a challenge - she even completed a Hyrox last year! 🦾

She's continued to work, to exercise most days and to support others through tough times whilst putting up the bravest fight of her own against a cancer that probably should have beaten her long ago had she not been so stubborn and determined to keep living by her own rules.

As her friend, I've been in awe of this incredible woman's strength and courage. This cancer journey has been a rollercoaster but I'm glad I have had the privilege to ride it with her because she's one helluva woman and I've learned so much from her along the way.
"Jen, life's too short" will forever be ingrained in my brain because she's said it sooooo many times to me over the years.🫶🏻

Sadly, the time has come that we must now allow Tracy to step away from her role at G4 to spend precious time with her family.

Last week, Tracy instructed her last session saying a teary farewell to her beloved Fit For Life group.
In true Tracy style, she made sure her last spin class was raising money for charity and spun her heart out for over an hour for North Devon Hospice. 🤩

There are no words to express how much she's going to be missed by all of us in our little G4 family....she's the person we all confide in, the person we giggle with over the silliest things, the person who encourages all of us to chase our dreams, the person who sees the best in everyone and who also brings out the best in everyone.

We will never replace Trace in our team - she's irreplaceable - but we'll keep on keeping on cos that's exactly what she's done for so long. 🧡

🙏🏻 Can I kindly ask that you don't message her privately as she now needs to focus on time with her loved ones. Any letters or cards can be left at the gym and I will make sure she receives them.
