What a fantastic night ❤️

Firstly, thank you to everyone who came along and made our awards night such a great success. Seeing so many players, parents, families, coaches and volunteers together is a real reminder of what this club is all about.

Tonight has been about celebrating another brilliant season of youth football. While we’ve handed out trophies and recognised some outstanding individual performances, the biggest achievement is seeing how every one of our boys has developed throughout the year.

We’ve watched them grow in confidence, improve their skills, work hard for each other and, most importantly, enjoy playing football. That’s something every player should be incredibly proud of. The medals and trophies are wonderful, but the friendships, memories and lessons they’ve gained this season will last forever.

To all of our lads, well done. Every single one of you has played your part in making this season such a success. Whether you’ve scored the winning goal, made a last-ditch tackle, encouraged a teammate or simply turned up every week ready to give your best, you’ve represented this club brilliantly.

A huge thank you must also go to our coaches and volunteers. The time, effort and dedication they put in week after week often goes unseen, but without them none of this would be possible.

And of course, thank you to all our parents, grandparents and families. From early morning kick-offs and freezing winter mornings to endless lifts to training and washing muddy kits, your support has been incredible. The boys are lucky to have you behind them every step of the way.

We’d like to end this week’s Summer programme with a massive shoutout and thank you to one of our amazing young leaders, Shay, who has been helping and supporting not only the team but our younger children throughout our summer programme! 🌟

He is kind, caring, patient and such a fantastic role model and mentor to the younger kids. It’s wonderful to see him sharing his time, helping others and making such a positive difference.

We can always rely on Shay to get involved in a good water fight.

This is his second summer helping the young ones and we are so grateful to have him.

Thank you for everything you do — you are an absolute star! ⭐️

We’re looking to bring in a couple of players to add to the existing squad. The team are a great bunch of girls who have an unbelievable bond on & off the park.

In the past 18 months, players from our team have progressed to Next Gen level at both Rangers & Hibs. We also have/have had girls within the pre academy setup at both Hearts & Celtic.

The future is bright here at Blackburn. The girls section is thriving and the club are working hard to ensure there is a full pathway right up to ladies football.

During the first half of the year, we’ve competed well in our first 6 months at u12. More than holding our own in tier 1.

Eligible girls are those born in 2014, 2015 & 2016.

A draw this week for our game against Linlithgow.

Great performance at borh ends of the park with Shay netting 4 and and CB Ewan bossing the high risk zones.

Match report.

Today seen the Blacks take on Linlithgow away from home today. Sun shining on the 3G and there was even a horse 🐴 😂😂😂

1 sub today and a late appearance from our number 7 Mikey who was away supporting his Brother coach Robbie today as he ran in the Edinburgh half marathon.

The boys played their socks off. Heat was a killer but the Burnie boys didn’t skip a beat. Fluid football seen us off the mark quickly against a very quick and very organised Lithgow side.

Another clean sheet in the league for our number 1 today and some well taken goals from our magical number 9. The scoreboard was also accompanied by Mystic Mike who was 45 mins late for the game and managed a goal within 30 seconds of getting on the park.

Great performance from the lads today, we actually have a picture this week 👌 taken by a Mum as the coaches are shocking 😂😂

Match report

This Saturday seen us welcome Kirkfield whites to the Purdie worldwide stadium.

Game started well for the lads. Shape kept, 2 touch passing and some decent play to keep the Whites on their toes. Loads of battles with both teams looking to break lines with some decent passes but the Burnie boys were on form today.

Some outstanding passes through to our front 3 seen the lads find the net and test the Whites keeper.

5 assist for the skipper today as Ajay bosses the midfield.

Fantastic game for the lads as we look to our next game against a difficult Bathgate side on Thursday.
