Created by a 12-year-old swimmer, this incredible masterpiece brought together their knowledge of geography, physics, engineering, and construction — all inspired by their swimming lesson.

As we get ready to launch our new Tuesday evening lessons at The Splash Academy, Bolton, I thought it would be the perfect time to introduce myself to all of our new and prospective Rainbow Swim families 🌈💙

Hi, I’m Adele!

I’m a former national swimmer and have been teaching swimming for over 22 years. Throughout my career, my passion for making swimming accessible, enjoyable and inclusive for every child has continued to grow — ultimately leading me to create Rainbow Swim.

Alongside my swimming background, I hold a BA (Hons) in Advanced Studies of Early Years, which has given me a deeper understanding of how children think, learn and develop. My most recent qualifications include Autism Swim training and Aqua Sensory Certification, which has shaped the way I teach and support swimmers both in and out of the water.

Perhaps my greatest learning experience, however, has come from being a mum to neurodivergent children. It has opened my eyes to the importance of child-led learning and strengthened my belief that every child deserves to feel seen, heard and understood.

No two swimmers are the same, and that’s exactly why no two swimming journeys should be either.

My goal is to support every swimmer in a way that works for them — celebrating their strengths, understanding their individual needs, and adapting to their unique learning style so they can build confidence and thrive in the water.

I am incredibly proud to now offer a continuous swimming journey from Bath Babies right through to Adult Lessons across our venues in Brinscall, Blackburn and now Bolton.

I can’t wait to welcome both new and familiar faces to the pool and be part of your family’s swimming journey 🏊‍♀️✨

Our parent & baby lessons are designed to feel nurturing and pressure-free for both babies and parents ✨

There’s no expectation for babies to “perform.”

🌊 Under the sea this week at Rainbow Swim!

Our little swimmers had lots of fun exploring the sensory side of swimming; whooshing and swooshing like the ocean waves 🩵

We practiced our balancing and core strength skills wobbling on the big raft “sensory island” and fine motor skills collecting sea creatures 🐠🐙
