The format will be a Texas Scramble with small prizes for the winning team along with Nearest the Pin competition.

We have some very low handicappers that have joined Staining. The lowest is new member James Lawrance who has an incredible handicap of +2.1 meaning he has to score -2 to play to his handicap! I’m hoping he will play in our Club Championship later this month 😊⛳️

Golf Coaching | Blackpool | Staining Lodge Golf Academy Staining Lodge Golf Academy offers PGA Golf Lessons for golfers of all abilities & ages. We have a 250 yard Driving Range & state of the art Indoor Swing Studio. We have a fantastic Junior Golf Academy for players aged between 4-17.

The PGA - as part of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Golf (APPGG) - continues to campaign for the safe return of golf as soon as it is permitted.

A great deal of work has been going on behind the scenes, with all members of the group collaborating and working towards our collective goal of making the case to Government that golf should be one of the first activities to have restrictions eased.

The group has campaigned tirelessly throughout the latest lockdown to ensure that the voice of the golf industry is being heard at the highest levels of Government, and although we’re not there yet progress is being made.

The group has today written to the Prime Minister, the Sports Minister and the Chief Medical Officers in England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland, sharing its COVID-19 Secure Golf scientific paper that has been updated with more compelling evidence from a range of experts.

🏆Winter League - Summer League🏆

Just a quick update on the Staining Lodge Winter League.

Due to the Lockdown we are unable to run the planned Winter League. I have contacted everyone who has paid their £10 entry fee and suggested we run a “Summer League” from March until the end of September.

The Summer League will be run the same way as the Winter league with the Best 10 scores from each team of 2 players over the season. The Summer League will run every Sunday and Tuesday. Entry fee is £10 per player and the cost of each competition is just £2 per player.

Following the government’s announcement regarding the 3rd National Lockdown, I can now confirm sadly all Golf Courses and Driving Ranges have to close 😢 This means all Lessons will be postponed until further notice.

I will be in touch with those players who have paid for the Winter League to give them a £10 refund. Hopefully we can organise something similar when golf resumes.
