Our u11s were in action for the last time today before summer break against a strong Kirham Yellows. Both teams had low numbers due to half term but we were able to get a game on, with us borrowing 3 players from our u10 teams, Sam Teddie and Anas.
To start with the 3 u10s performances who had to adapt their game to 9 a side (currently 7s) and also getting used to offsides, throw ins and headers which aren't allowed in their game, they all stepped up brilliantly and played some great football that looked like they had been part of the u11s team for a while, well done and thank you to each of them for their help and performances today 👏👏👏, Sam also got himself an assist in his 9v9s debut taking a quick throw in to Cole who produced a looping volley into the top corner, a sublime goal and quick thinking from Sam ⚽️👏👏
The game ended up 4-2 to Kirkham but was a brilliant game to watch and the boys all gave everything they could.
Player of the match was Kent for a 2nd week in a row, hard work and determination against a well set up defence, he really worked hard and got himself an assist in the process for Zayd long range lobbed shot, linked up very well with Teddie and Anas
Parents POTM was Alfie, great saves and even better kicking from Goal kicks which he's been practicing, finding the player and getting good height and distance on the kicks, he's really pleased with them himself and that showed in the rest of his performance.
U11s signing off for a few weeks rest, thanks to all the players and supporters this year and for TrueNorth Staffing Ltd for sponsoring the kits for the boys

Delayed post for the u11s who were in action on Saturday at home vs FC Rangers Blacks.
Entertaining game with goals galore between the teams.
Always a great game but we ran out of steam at the end and the lads heads went down resulting in an 8-4 win for the Blacks.
Lots of learnings from it though and proved to be one game too many for the lads after 3 games in a week.
Player of the match was Kent, got himself on the scoresheet and a great assist too, but also worked hard back into midfield to support his teammates.
Parents POTM was Cole, hard working as always, body on the line tackles and calm on the ball throughout the game
Well done to both teams

Staining JFC would like to say a big well done to our U10 Bulldogs for their efforts at the JB7 tournament yesterday.
The boys smashed the group stage and were narrowly knocked out in the Cup semi final’s by a top team who went on to win the final.

Well done Bulldogs and thankyou Jordan Banks Memorial Tournament organisers for what is always an excellent well organised event!

U11s in midweek action tonight at home to Thornton Cobras.
It was a great game between the teams, played in the right spirit and even though a little one sided on the scoreline, the Cobras were professional in their approach and were also supportive of our team when players made good saves, tackles, passes etc a great midset to take.
With that being said our boys took the game to them at times and caused them a few problems, scoring a well taken goal by Jacko, assisted by Archie whose determination at win the ball and get it moving forward was great to watch.
POTM was Max for hardwork, great skill and listening to instruction to push the team forward and support his teammates.
Parents POTM was Archie, another strong performance for a player only playing his 2nd game at 9 a side.
Well done both teams

Exciting friendly for Staining U8s this morning vs Wyre Juniors Blacks.
A very good game to watch with both teams showing some great passing, and some high quality shooting on display.
Player of the Match for Staining was Max, who never stopped running, cool and composed when on the ball and always encouraging his team mates, well done Max!

U11s in action this morning and it was a very good game against a strong Foxhall Hoops team winning the game 3-2.
We played some great football and soaked up their pressure really well in the first half.
First goal from Jackson was Assisted by Kent, but was a team goal, Alfie smart play to Archie, nice one two then fed Kent who released Jacko to slot it home perfectly.
2nd goal was superb also, a long range effort from Dom forced their keeper into a brilliant save and Max was aware of the danger still to tap in to go 2-0 at half time.
They pulled it back to 2-2, through 2 decent goals and the put us on the back foot for long periods in the 2nd half.
However we defended really well and unlucky not to score again with their defender just getting a toe to it to win us a corner at the end.
However Dom whipped in a great corner, Archie won the first header towards goal and then Cole produces an overhead kick that was applauded by the away parents too.
Managers POTM was Zayd, we thought he worked his socks off today helping his defence out when we were under the cosh.
Parents POTM was Dexter, an absolute outstanding defensive display, using his body well and clearing the danger.
Well done to all they boys again and especially to Dom and Archie in their first games for us, both got involved and played key parts in our goals today. 🙌🙌👏👏🔵⚪️⚽️

Pre-season / End of season friendly for the U8 Windmills this morning against BJFF Predators. A close encounter with both teams having spells on top.

Great team passing on display at times from Staining along with some great goalkeeping from both our Goalies, Jack and Teddie.

Staining Player of the Match went to Teddie, who was great in attack in the 1st half and then produced another great display in goal in the 2nd half.

Well done Teddie and both teams!

First preseason game already as we get ready for u12s football in Septemebr, the hard work begins now.
Brilliant result today for our u11s, a 14-1 win, which the score didn't tell the full story if the game against a very physical opposition, the boys remained calm with the take in hand and worked together as a team.
Goal contributions from all over the team today
Kent ⚽️🅰️🅰️🅰️🅰️
Cole ⚽️🅰️
Freddie ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🅰️
Zayd ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🅰️
Jacko ⚽️⚽️🅰️🅰️🅰️
Joe ⚽️
Kyler ⚽️
Max 🅰️🅰️🅰️
Mo 🅰️
But another special shout out to the defence today, Alfie with some unbelievable saves 🧤 Dexter, Cam & Kyler were all phenomenal to in defence 🚫 and all deserve the plaudits that comes with it, as the score suggests it was one sided but they had chances and we stopped these by great teamwork and super blocks, tackles and saves.
POTM was Kyler, strong defensive display along with a cool finish but his calmness on the ball to find the right pass, everything we've been working on he put into practice.
Parents POTM was Freddie, 4 goals, an assist and lots of workrate shown from him.
Well done boys 🔵⚪️
