๐ง๐ต๐ผ๐ฟ๐ป๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐๐: An early morning jaunt to Blantyre for a 9am kick off versus Thorniewood saw the Swifts take control of proceedings from the start.
The lads created lots of fantastic chances and but for a superb opposition goalkeeper coupled with some lacklustre finishing the scoreline should have been more. At the other end we defended resolutely and kept a clean sheet so one goal was enough in the end and topped off another strong performance ๐
Well done to ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ with this week's MOTM. The referee chose #17 for his commanding centre mid performance. He showed strength and confidence on the ball all match, with forward thinking play and intelligent passing to cut open the opposition creating chance after chance for his team mates. He always wanted the ball and didnโt hide from showcasing his skills and strengths on the ball ๐โฝ
In a game where we seemed in total control, but, not getting the ball in the net 1-0 didnโt feel enough at one point when Thorniewood got a ball through to their danger man who looked like he was going to get a 1v1 with Quinnโฆthat is until Rocco busted a gut and helped cover his team mates across the box, arriving with a perfectly timed slide tackle on the danger to s***f out the chance! A great baller moment well done ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ผ ๐โฝ
๐๐๐ป๐ฎ๐บ๐ผ๐ ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐น๐ฏ๐ถ๐ผ๐ป: Coming into this game we knew it was set to be a cracking encounter between two strong teams and it didn't disappoint. A real nail biting affair where we went 0-1 down, came back to 1-1, went 2-1 up, pegged back to 2-2, 2-3 down, we came back to 3-3...and then the boys managed to find another few goals without reply.
A really well contested game with good football on show from both teams, physical at times and a great spectacle for grassroots football. Once again the Dynamos show just how good the spirit is within their ranks that they simply never give up and trust and believe in each other regardless ๐ช
Well done to ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ป on winning Referee's Man of the Match! He's performing week after week consistently in the midfield...after a mistake that led to the opponents first goal many players would have let that moment consume them...but Kaison pulled his socks up and got right back into things showing great character. A driving run from his own half to the opponents box before crossing for Jacob to score coupled with another fantastic goal from the edge of the box were the icing on the cake of an all round great performance ๐โฝ
And to ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป for his Brig Baller award...what a game he had on Saturday...strong in the tackle, calm under pressure, great passing out from defence and simply putting everything he is capable of together into a cracking match. Euan brought the ball out of defence under lots of pressure from opponents before threading a quality ball through the lines for Logan N to run on clear through 1:1 and slot the ball home. Goals get lots of attention but this assist was a real quality piece of play by Euan and more than deserving of the Brig Baller Coin ๐โฝ
