Another custom gravel Commutter leaving the workshop today.

We got this ace carbon Planet X frame-set courtesy of .works which enabled us to build her up on a conservative budget.

The customer wanted decent tyre width, wide gear range and an adjustable stem, the left was left to us. The result is an ultra light gravel machine all ready to roll for a trip in the Alps later this summer!

- Planet X XC Carbon frame-set (repainted forks)
- Wife flared Tifosi bars, adjustable stem, Cinelli tape
- Groupset; GRX 2x10 Hydraulic Shifters mixed with Tiagra 4700 gearing, extended up to a 36T rear cassette (Good tip for techies, GRX 10 speed and Tiagra 4700 are cross-compatible), Shimano Deore brake calliper and discs
- Wheels; Shimano MT15 wheelset wearing Halo gravel 38c tyres
- Tortec Rear Rack

With a history of cyclocross racing, the customer wanted a high quality modern gravel / AllRoad build to give him access to different types of terrain on his weekend rides.

A mix of all new and used parts, all provided and picked out from group-sets and parts we had in the shop. The electric shifting is great!

I’m holiday ready! Just assembled my last few bits, huge thanks to them for all the bags and bike-packing gear.

Don’t judge me, I know the bike needs a good clean.

My monster truck gravel-converted 29er Hardtail will be getting a hammering this coming week, with some wild camping bike touring.

I’ve also installed a leather Rolls saddle and a Hashiki bar-end bell for some extra ease.

As mentioned on previous post, we’re now shut until Tuesday the 21st, anyone’s welcome to drop off after that.

We’ve gone to town building this beast of a gravel bike, using a retro triple-triangle GT Nomad frame with Carbon forks, lightweight Shimano wheels and a Shimano Apex group-set.

It’s big and beautiful! Super sturdy and will handle all sorts of riding demands.
