Wow, what a weekend for the Bristol Wolves IHC Development squad.

For all bar 1 it was their first ever Ice Hockey games this weekend after coming together 2.5 months ago to form the Development squad.

They did not hold back and went out against a team that have been competing in the Southern Recreational Cup Ice Hockey for their 2nd season.

The guys battled hard, listened to instructions and left everything they had out on the ice to come away from game 1 with a 12-6 loss. The guys loved every second of the game and celebrated their small victory of winning the 3rd period 5-3.

MOTM - #52 Charles Viikberg

Game 2 was held in Bristol and the team had their family and friends attend to cheer them on.
They did not disappoint the crowd with their constant battling and sheer determination to get something out of the game. With the score ending 13-4 in favour of the visitors the team were able to hold their heads high and know they did themselves and the club proud with the performances over the 2 games.

MOTM - #70 Jake Stanley

Thank you to everyone involved in making the games happen and supporting the team in their journey so far.

Special mention to Jake Stanley who managed to bag a Hat-trick in both games recording 6 goals and 2 assists in his first 2 appearances.

The 3rd and Final game of the weekend see's the Bristol Wolves IHC Development team host the return fixture against the Cardiff Centaurs.
The guys will hopefully have learnt a fair bit from their fixture from the day before amd will be really looking to take it to the Centaurs and come away with a win for their 1st game at The Den.

The 2nd game of the weekends for the Bristol Wolves IHC see's the 2's head down the M4 to neighbouring Swindon to take on the Swindon Centurions.

The team will be looking to get back to winning ways after a disappointing result on the weekend.

3 game weekend

The 1st game of the weekend for Bristol Wolves IHC see's our newly for.ed Development team take on the Cardiff Centaurs in a Challenge game in Cardiff.
This will be the first outing for the Dev team and giving the majority of them their 1st ever game experience.
The guys are really looking forwards to getting out there and having fun in their first game as a team.

Bristol Wolves IHC 1's and 2's take to the ice this weekend 1 after the other.

First up we see the 2's take on Swindon Storm Ice Hockey Club B in the Southern Recreational Cup Ice Hockey Division 5 where they look to get the points to go top of the Division.

As the current season comes to a close, our focus is already on building for an exciting season ahead!

Bristol Wolves A are now recruiting new players to join the squad for next season.

We're looking for talented, committed players who want to compete at the top end of Rec hockey in a competitive, ambitious environment.

We'd especially love to hear from:
🏒 High-level Rec players looking for a new challenge.
🏒 Players ageing out of U19 hockey who want to continue their hockey journey with a welcoming and competitive club.
🏒 Players coming to the end of their NIHL 1 or NIHL 2 careers who still want to play at a high standard, but with a better balance and without the demands that come with league hockey.

🚨 RESULT 🚨

A heavily depleted Bristol Wolves IHC travelled to Basingstoke to take on a strong Buccaneers side in the Southern Recreational Cup Ice Hockey.

Despite the short bench, the Wolves put in a performance full of heart, determination and grit, with every player leaving absolutely everything out on the ice.

Their hard work was rewarded with a well-earned point as the game finished 6-6. A fantastic team effort from start to finish. 🐺💙

Bristol Wolves IHC 1st team take to the road this weekend to face 2nd in the division the Basingstoke Buccaneers.
This will be a tough game for the Wolves but we will make sure we leave it all on the ice.
