Bristol Shredfest is a new family MTB festival on 11th July! It's all to raise money for Bristol mountain biking.

There's LOADS going on with fun stuff for all ages and abilities - from kids, to newbies, to super-experienced grown-ups. Come join in the fun!

This week Talk Club and collaborated for the first ever TALK & TRAILS ride. An 18+ men’s group ride with a little more focus on mental health.

With no committed sign-up process, numbers were unknown, so it was great to welcome 22 men, meeting at Pedal Progression many of whom hadn’t ridden with Ride Bristol or even in a group before.

After a short introduction to Talk Club we split into 2 groups based on what people wanted to ride and once in those groups we introduced ourselves, had our ‘How are you? Out of 10? check-ins’ before heading out on the trails.

There was a relaxed feeling, people mixed and bike, life and feelings chat naturally flowed. Lots of trails were covered in an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere before we all re-gathered for a post ride refreshment and a ‘check-out’.

With big smiles, laughs, trail stories and higher ‘check-out’ scores across the groups we couldn’t be happier with this first TALK & TRAILS.

So much so that we are already planning the next one.

💥December Big Dig - We Need Your Help!

⛏️This December 4th and 5th, we need volunteers for our biggest trail repair project of the year.

🪏We’re fixing-up the knackered Ashton Court Quarry Climb, but we can’t do it without YOUR help.

👷We’re getting the experts at Velosolutions UK in first do to the hard work, then on 4th and 5th December we’ll grab our shovels and do the essential job of finishing it all off - many hands make light work, but without the community, we can’t make it happen.

🙏🏻So please, pretty please, come and lend a hand for the good of the trails!

💁🏻‍♂️How can YOU help?
We’re offering morning and afternoon sessions on both days. Join us for half a day, join us for the whole lot. It’s up to you! Sign up on the Eventbrite link in our bio!

Sessions are 4th and 5th December. 10 start or 13:30 start.

👉🏻WHAT will you be doing?
We’ll be borrowing and raking stone, then laying and shaping the trail. It’s really vital work to finish off the trail. But don’t worry, if you don’t fancy that you can also help with loads of other jobs, and there’s plenty of much less physical stuff available if you want it!
