Ian McConnell shield memorial team competition
The competition took place at Lamlash Golf Club Sunday 6th September where
10 teams of 4 players took part to try win the shield.
Old standard Arran pool rules were played to honour the game Ian played throughout his whole life.
3 tables seen 2 groups of 3 and one group of 4 the top team from the groups of 3 went through to the semi finals
In the other group of 4 the top 2 teams progressed to the next round

McGraths team found them selves down 2-0 against PHT in the final and came back to win 4-2 a well deserved meaningful win for the first McConnell cup winners

During the day a raffle was held with prizes donated by players in the event all money raised went to Arran Mountain Rescue, Who received £370
