Introducing our brand new for this year under 18 team, we only have 2 players from last year so had a massive recruitment drive pre season. We’re really pleased how this went and we have recruited a very young squad.
My hopes for the season was to get the girls to gel, enjoy their football and build for next season. After the first few games I can see that this bunch of lovely girls will do better than I expected and I will be posting their games on here regularly so watch this space.
Unfortunately we had no game this week and no game next week, the next game will be in the cup against premier league outfit Lutterworth at home on Saturday 7th November.
We play at Studley Sports and Social club alongside our vibrant under 15 team.

🚨U11 – Match Report🚨

This week we headed away to take on a very strong Inkberrow Falcons side for a friendly fixture. With low numbers from half‑term breaks and some really terrible weather, it looked at first as though the girls might not quite be ready to get going. But once the whistle blew, everything changed!

They got off to a brilliant start, causing real problems for the home defence, passing sharply and moving forward, showing so much hunger to win every ball. Every single player worked their socks off out there – they should all be incredibly proud of just how far they have come this season.

Our Parents’ Player of the Match went to Autumn, who was non‑stop in defence, pulling off crucial tackles and never letting up.

Managers’ Player of the Match was Emily, who slotted into multiple positions across the pitch and kept creating trouble for Inkberrow wherever she went.

The girls now have a well‑earned week off to recharge. We’ll be back in action at home on 7 November, when we face Newtown!

🚨 U13 Match Report 🚨

Newtown leopards were in Bromsgrove for game 5 and what a game it was.

For a start it was wet and windy, secondly we had 9 players 🥳 credit to Avie, Cecilia and Indy for making it to game 2 today to help them out. We are still looking for girls year 7-8 to join us.

When we have 9 we are competitive and this was a very competitive affair.

We went 1 nil up from a long range effort from Cecilia, then Newtown came back 2-1 at HT

We spoke about the need to maintain positions at HT and keep the balance of the side and as a result, we had a great second half, it was all us we attacked and attacked and credit to Newtowns back line they had a great game, we finally got the equaliser when Georgia pounced on a ball that spilled free from a Xanti /Keeper tangle to tap home. 2-2 scenes 🤣

We looked like we’d push on and win it and we kept going, but in the end honours even and another positive result.

It’s great that we have a good result for these girls, they have a steep learning curve and they get caught out by things they don’t know as they don’t have the experience of playing football that much before the summer. What they do have as individuals is all of them share a strong desire to work hard and learn and it shows by the fact that they’re competing despite having such a tough task ahead of them.

Brilliant girls 👏🏻

🚨 Match Report - Under 15 Girls 🚨

Bromsgrove Sporting Girls FC U15 2 - 2 Inkberrow Youth Girls U15 Eagles

⚽️ 🅰️Immy
⚽️Holly
🅰️ Emelia
🏆POTM Holly

This week we were back at home to face Inkberrow Eagles. Inkberrow are a good side that we know well from the Mercian League days so we knew this would be a tough contest.

Conditions were difficult and from the outset the girls were trying to get the ball down and play but a bobbly pitch would make that a real challenge today. Inkberrow with 10 players set themselves up to defend and credit to them they did a brilliant job making it very difficult for Sporting to find a pass and create chances, their workmate and desire all game made it seem like they had 11.

That said, Sporting were on top from the outset and the breakthrough came on 15 minutes. The ball worked well from the left into Emilia whose clever lofted pass found Immy who flicked the ball past the onrushing keeper to make it 1-0.

Inkberrow responded quickly, a ball played in behind the sporting defence and Inkberrow’s winger was first to it and she hit a good first time shot to equalise.

Sporting were straight back into it though, a well worked corner saw a cross fall to Estella whose close shot looped over the bar. The pressure continued and Immy again worked well down the right side to get a dangerous ball into the six yard box, the bounce caused the keeper problems and Holly was arriving at the back post to tap in to make it 2-1 at half time.

Early in the second half an Inkberrow ball played through the centre caught Sporting out with a sliced clearance from Amelia that fell to Inkberrows forward and her shot bounced awkwardly in front of Layla, it was a horrible bounce and she was unable to hold it as it bobbled over the line to make it 2-2.

Sporting failed to recover after that really, it was a performance that was a good way off the excellent highs of recent weeks but huge credit to Inkberrow who battled with the 10 all game and really put in a performance that deserved the point. Honours even 2-2.

No game next week so the girls can get busy carving pumpkins… We return to action on the 7th November in the second round of the League Cup at home again versus Shamrock FC.

🚨 U12 Match Report 🚨

This week we were away at Woverley, it was cold it was wet, the grass is long and the early start of 9:30am seems to not agree with us 🙄

We started slow, was a bit hesitant and all over the place first 5 minutes, but the we settled down and put together some lovely passing moves, goals flowed down the right hand side and although we didn’t play as well as we can. We still put together some nice moves, we work a lot on overloads and it’s slowly getting there even if when we are ahead we have a tendency to get a little lazy and go goal hunting 🙄

Grace won PPOTM today and rightly so, I think today was arguably her best game for us ever, she was unlucky not to get a hat trick.

Cecilia is on fire so far with goals this season and no different today. POTM 🏆 for some strong finishing and assisting.

Was nice for Esme to get her first assist, Her and Summer are sharing the gloves a lot atm and both are also very capable outfield, both putting in a good turn each half before fairly solid goalkeeping stints.

Credit to Woverley, they scored a good goal a girl in the centre who was very positive all game got a deserved goal for herself. Very strong running and competing from her.

Full time 7-1

Next week will be the tough test of Bartley Reds again
