All change at Trent Rowing Club this weekend

The boat barn is taking shape (shout out to the team from Worldwide Buildings 👏) and our juniors and seniors have been hard at the landscaping and trench covering (as well as training on the river).

Keep fingers crossed for us that this weather continues and who knows, by the end of next week we could well have a finished boat barn.

Don’t forget to take a look if you’re passing by, take a photo and tag us.

This is such an exciting time for Trent and we can’t wait to welcome you all to our new barn and encourage you to get out on our river.

It might look like a lot of mud and a few moved stones, but to us, this is VERY exciting!

After years of planning, fundraising, problem-solving, duck racing and perseverance, the groundwork has finally begun in preparation for our new boat barn at Trent Rowing Club.

It is the first visible sign that something we have talked about and worked towards for so long is starting to become a reality.

There is still more to come, but for now, we are celebrating this long-awaited first step. Watch this space….

Huge thanks to our volunteers for their hard graft!! đź’™

Exciting news!

We have a provisional start date for the Boat Barn Build (try saying that fast!)

All things being well, the build should start towards the end of the first week in September, so for those of you local and regularly walking, cycling, driving past, you should start to see activity on site and the beginnings of the structure poking above the railings.

Obviously we will take lots of photos and keep everyone posted, but we wanted you all to know this latest news, as without you, we wouldn't have gotten our ducks in a row and got this far.

Our club base is going to look very different soon đź’™

Thank you!!

Keep you posted

Burton Regatta & boat barn update!!

We hope everyone is enjoying this fabulous weather - it's perfect for this weekend, because it's Burton Regatta !!

Burton Regatta is one of the oldest annual sporting events in the country, and this year marks its 160th year.

Held over two days of races on the beautiful River Trent, you’re in for a treat.

Mouthwatering food and drink stalls, a healthy dose of spirited competition, an international race with our twin town Lingen, Germany, there are lots for everyone.

We here at Trent RC are always very proud to row on home stretch of river, and really hope you can join us for this special year.

Last year, 488 boats from 30 clubs competed in the two-day festival and there are hopes for more this weekend.

The weather forecast is giving us all a belter, so come down to the Trent riverbanks for cooling breezes, epic rowing prowess, and cheer us – and the crews - on (bring your sun hats and SPF).

Saturday 11 July – Sunday 12 July, 8am – 5.30pm

Boat Barn update:
We also will have some exciting news to share with you on the progress of the new Boat Barn very soon - it's been "all hands to the blades" since the Duck Race, but we do want to assure you that progress is being made behind the scenes, and with a few more i's dotted and t's crossed, we will be ready to make an announcement soon.

In the meantime, we hope to see you at the Regatta this weekend - please do come and say hi, we will be in our blues under our TRC gazebo

The Club is very honoured to be chosen as one of the beneficiaries of Rolleston Transport Festival this bank holiday Monday.

It’s a cracking day out and some of our volunteers will be there on the day (with our late presidents vintage lorry).

Please come along if you can or just share the details.

It’s going to be a very hot day, but lots of fun for all

This is an extract from our brochure for this year’s Rolleston Transport Festival showing some of our beneficiaries for this year.
There are others that we have added since the brochure went to print.

Good luck to all of our Junior athletes who are representing the East Midlands at the Junior Inter Regional Regatta today.

It seems like an age since we enjoyed a warm sunny day at Holme Pierrepont, but the conditions today are wonderful!
