Green Heath Rangers 4 - 0 AFC Gnosall
Massive win for the boys today. The last few weeks haven’t reflected the graft the lads have been putting in on the pitch, and we knew we needed to start finishing our chances better. After a bit of jigging around, we brought last year’s top goalscorer up from right back to up top, and just like that, Spuda delivered.
First half we came out the gates strong and put Gnosall straight on the back foot. Kyle played a beautiful switch over to Lewis, who fired one in from outside the box into the right-hand side of the net. The pressure kept coming, and Reece delivered a solid ball for Spuda to run onto, bagging his first within 20 minutes of being back as a striker.
Into the second half, the lads weren’t looking to let off the gas. After a deflected shot, Cam played a lovely through ball to Spuda, who grabbed his second. Five minutes later, Reece played another dangerous ball through, and Spuda’s pace was too much for their defenders as he slotted it under the keeper to complete his hat-trick.
The lads were dominant today, and the result reflects the hard work they’ve been putting in both on the pitch and at training. Gnosall played a good game, and we wish them all the best for the rest of the season.
