Some of you may have heard the news, but we're saddened to say that Max will be leaving Boulders this month as he embarks on a new career.

When Max first joined us back in 2017, he was a shy, quiet lad, always content to be in the background... Just kidding! He's been the Max we know and love since day one.

For many of you, Max's smiling face will have been the first thing you saw on your first visit to Boulders, and his never-ending noughties pop-punk playlist is the soundtrack to your weekly climbing sessions. His positivity and bad jokes will be sorely missed. We'd like to publicly thank him for all his hard work and wish him the best in his new job!

Don't worry, he's promised to come in and visit us from time to time. His last day is the 19th January if you'd like to come in and see him before he goes!

We were honoured to host the South Wales bouldering round of the YCS on Saturday! Amazing to see so much home grown talent on display 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏆

We're hosting the bouldering round of the Youth Climbing Series this Saturday 1st November, and so there will be some setting disruptions this week whilst we strip and set for the event. Please bear this in mind if you're visiting us.

The main room and rhino will be closed on Saturday until 4pm, but the rest of the bouldering and training will be open as normal.

Happy Pride Month everyone! 🏳️‍🌈🧗

We'd like to take this moment to say that we fully support and celebrate the Q***r members of our community. Whether you're out or not, we hope to foster an atmosphere of inclusivity and support for you all.

You may see posts like this and ask why we still 'go on' about Pride. You may think that climbing is already an inclusive community, everyone is treated equally, and it's time to just 'get on with it'. While it's true that the vast majority of people within the climbing space are kind, welcoming and supportive of everyone, the truth is that there's still work to be done.

When we promoted our last big LGBTQIA event, we received some truly shocking email replies. It proved to us that we still need to work hard to ensure that all people feel safe and comfortable in climbing gyms.

So we'll carry on learning, adapting and doing our best to be a loud and supportive ally. We hope that you'll join us! Shout out to our friends , .heights and for their constant positive representation at the wall. If you're interested in getting involved with these clubs, please reach out to them and they'll be happy to respond!

The swim is underway! 🏊 They're in the water right now, swimming from Alcatraz to shore with the Golden Gate Bridge on the horizon, all to raise money for .

Today is International Women’s Day. We’d like to recognise and celebrate the women that make Boulders great - from our team members, the girls crushing it in our children’s sessions, our incredible En Masse social club, and all the women who climb with us. Thank you for being such an important part of our community.

We’d be remiss if we didn’t also mention that although over the past 15 years there has been a massive improvement in making the climbing community a welcoming and more inclusive environment, we know we can always do more to support and empower women, who can still face sexism, inequality and even harassment in climbing gyms.
