Great to see Jatin Sareen and his daughter Rishya who has joined the business , Jeremy has dealt with three generations of the Sareen family and J S Wright are proud to be associated for so long with Sareen Sports. We showed Rishya the whole process from willow set bed to dry cleft so she can see what goes into supplying the wood for their cricket bats. We enjoyed an evening in London at Clays Soho a new indoor clay pigeon shooting experience and dinner, which was very enjoyable. Here is to many more years supplying Sareen with hundreds of thousands of clefts.

Nothing like giving your employees an extra break and an ice cream when the weather is so hot. We also give one or two cold cans of drink per day when it’s warm. We have water filter and chiller machine and free tea and coffee for all our employees. Look after those that look after the company. Thanks all for working in this heat!!

A great plantation site near to the factory. The silver leaf looks fabulous in the sunshine and all these trees are very healthy. A little too wide grain for some but the clefts from these will have a good life span and play just as well given time.

Cricket bats and balls. We all know that cricket bats are a natural product that can break. All our customers would agree with us when we say a lot of breakages are caused by terrible quality cricket balls.
I don’t have examples but at the end of the day the cheaper a ball the worse quality it will be. Some club balls sell for £5.00 if you work it back and say less 20 % vat. Thats £4.00 then shipping and manufacturer costs the ball will be made for less than £2.00 … that won’t be made properly and will be hard on your bats.
We have seen balls with plastic , stones and glass in … just take one home and use and cut it open to see what is inside.
Purchase the best balls you can afford especially if you are paying a lot of money for your cricket bat. We appreciate test match and county quality balls at over £120 each are out of the reach of clubs..But in our view clubs should be paying £20 at least for a good quality ball that’s not going to break people’s expensive cricket bats.
