It really is a kind of magic when an empty space is transformed into Cheltenham parkrun.
Thank you to the 57 fantastic volunteers who made it happen for the 545 runners and walkers at event #627 today.
Congratulations to Centurion James on his 100th run today.

Well done to everyone celebrating a milestone or smashing a PB today: we know that there are hundreds of different personal achievements every Saturday and we are proud of every single one.
Welcome to the 20 people doing their very first parkrun; to all our tourists, and to Sam's stag group. We hope you all had a great start to your day.

From setting up signs to run director: Prash’s parkrun story | parkrun UK Blog “I came to understand that volunteering doesn’t require any special qualifications, but just a willingness to help,” said Prashanth, 42, from Cheltenham, after 13 years of volunteering at parkrun.   An aerospace design engineer, Prash embodies this Volunteers’ Week theme: Volunteering looks...

It’s Volunteers’ Week in the UK (Monday 1st - Sunday 7th June)

A HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteers at Cheltenham parkrun: you help keep parkrun free, for everyone, forever.

So many participants tell us how much the support of every volunteer they meet has a positive impact on their experience. Your encouragement and support are what give people confidence to give it a go - and the real desire to stay as part of our fabulous parkrun family.

We also know how much pleasure participating as a volunteer brings and what a positive impact it has on well-being.

There are lots of opportunities and great support ... read on to find out how to sign up.

Another beautiful sunny (and hot) morning for Cheltenham parkrun #626 with 807 runners/joggers/walkers taking part - well done all!

Being the last Saturday of the month, 5k Your Way joined us, as did a group 'graduating' their Couch to 5k course.

We welcomed several tourists including one all the way from Sydney, as well as some first timers.

Congratulations to

*Eve - 100th parkrun
*Charlie and Joyce volunteering for 10th time
*Susan for volunteering for the 25th time

Huge thanks to all our wonderful volunteers today, without you we can't make parkrun happen.

Hi Cheltenham parkrun family. Thank you for responding so generously to fill all the marshal posts.

As always, we'd be grateful for extra bar code scanners after your run to help ease the queues.

Calling all members of our Cheltenham parkrun family.

Please take a look at our future roster to choose a date that you could be part of our fabulous volunteer team: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/cheltenham/futureroster/
We particularly need over 18s for marshal points on our summer course. If you help with pre-event set up or close down you can still run on the day. E-mail us your dates on [email protected]

Thank you to those who stepped up to fill this week's roster (still space for a car park marshal and extra hands on set up / close down which are all roles you can do and still parkrun.) ❤️

If you aren't already signed up to receive volunteer emails, please opt in via your parkrun profile (or the link in your results email)

A huge thank you to 10 of our Cheltenham parkrunners (Mitch, Helen, Simon, Stephen, Toby, Steph, Garry, Chris H, Chris G and Paul) who volunteered to help us collaborate with the Council’s Green Space team, Friends of Pittville and Pittville Swans and Friends to reinforce the path on top of the bund behind the Leisure Centre. This will prevent the bund getting muddy when we use it for our finish funnel in the wetter months. Please can our parkrunners stay off the matting for the next 4 weeks until we start to use the bund again.
