Great day watching three of our CLS girls in the final Talent Hub games of the season. All three girls put in a shift and contributed well. All have really benefited in their development from the experience.

The lads make the trip over the water to take on Gateshead Storm U16s in what promises to be a cracking encounter. 💪⚡

Last night we were fortunate to welcome Mitch Sargent from York Valkyries up to Chester-Le-Street.

Mitch took a session putting the girls through their paces, with a specific focus on exposing space. Following drills the girls took part in some conditioning games.

This was a great opportunity for the girls to showcase what they were able to do and talent we have in the North East.

Everyone at CLS would like to thank Mitch for coming up and we look forward to welcoming him back in the near future.

Next up for our U14s is a home fixture as we welcome Hull Dockers to Church Chare. This young i team are showing improvements every week and we can’t wait to see them go again tomorrow. 🟡⚪️⚫️

A tough weekend for both our U16s and U14s teams this weekend.

Our U16s welcomed high flying Driglington to Church Chare. Despite a much improved performance from the team, showing their continued commitment to improve, Driglington put on a dominant display providing a further benchmark for us to aspire to. The CLS girls never game in and worked hard to the final whistle again showing their resilience.

Our U14s made the trip to Featherstone to take on Featherstone Lionesses. Despite a superb performance from from our ever improving girls, in what was a fast physical and superbly entertaining contest, the girls fell to a narrow defeat. Again so many positives to take away and build on ready for next week.

Massive well done to all the girls who represented the club this week. We move forward to next week and another opportunity to show our improvements.

Very Hot Day down in York today watching two of our former players, playing for York Valkyrie U19s against Wigan. Wigan got the win 12-20, but was great to see Ameilia and Amelie combine for Amelie to score twice.

The girls were well supported by their sisters Isabella and Grace who both play for our U14s team.

Well done to all the CLS girls past and present who took the field this weekend.
