What an incredible 24 hours we’ve had! 🫶🏻

At 4pm on Friday, our 24-hour Danceathon began, and our amazing athletes danced tirelessly throughout the night and into Saturday’s Bears Gala Day. Their never ending energy, determination and positivity have been nothing short of inspiring! 💜

Our Gala Day was packed with fun, including a football tournament, raffles, a tombola, hair braiding, glitter tattoos, and fantastic support from other local businesses.

However, none of this would have been possible without Leanne and Laura. Between them, they organised two huge events and somehow made it all look effortless! From arranging the football tournament, ensuring our athletes were fed throughout the Danceathon, organising stallholders, creating incredible raffle prizes, and staying with our athletes and coaches for the full 24 hours – they truly went above and beyond. Your hard work and dedication to our club are appreciated more than words can say.

A huge thank you also goes to Leah and Linzi, who worked alongside Leanne and Laura to set up the Danceathon and supported at the Gala and is, as always, an incredible support to our club. We are so lucky to have you.

We also want to recognise our behind-the-scenes heroes, Paige and Natalie. Thank you for everything you do for our club. Your support never goes unnoticed. 🫶🏻

We also have some amazing support from our parents at the club, the Hi-Vis Vest Crew who took time out of their day to support the event!

To our coaches Anna, Liv, Ruby and Beth, who powered through the full 24 hours – your dedication and commitment to our athletes is truly amazing. Thank you also to our wonderful supporting coaches and choreographers Jasmin, Freya, Rosie, Ellie and Elise. We couldn’t do this without you. Also a massive thank you to Choreographers Mea and Cheryl for teaching our athletes different routines!!

A special thank you to Renishaw Miners Welfare Social Club for hosting both our Gala and Danceathon for the full 24 hours. Thank you for your continued support, for helping with the football tournament, and for always embracing every ambitious fundraising idea we bring your way!

Finally, thank you to every football team that entered today’s tournament. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we hope you all had a fantastic day competing against other local teams. A huge shout-out as well to our first-ever Women’s Football Team, who absolutely smashed it! ⚽💜

Events like these take months of planning and an incredible team effort. To every volunteer, athlete, coach, supporter, business, player and family member who helped make this weekend such a success – thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We couldn’t be more grateful for the support of our amazing community. 🫶🏻

Barlborough Bears have been given the chance to be part of the Tesco blue token grants in Clowne Tesco store.

We are trying to raise as much money as possible for a new gym and equipment!

Can all our friends and family shop at Tesco from August to November please and place the blue tokens in our pot. If the store doesn’t give them you on checkout you can ask for some, It cost nothing and the tokens are readily available at the end of the self checkouts!

🛠️ SUMMER MAINTENANCE REMINDER!💜🐻

Just a reminder that our Bear Cave will be closed for summer maintenance and a full deep clean from Monday 27th July.

🚫 No classes will be running from Monday 27th July until Monday 10th August.

During this time, we’ll be carrying out essential maintenance and giving the gym a thorough deep clean🫧

We’ll be back in the gym and ready to kick off another amazing season from Monday 10th August!💜
