FAB-Racing – Ellough Park Raceway Beccles

Firstly, a massive thank you to Helmet City.co.uk Ltd who continue to support me. Im not a big "crasher" but when Ive come off its great to know Im protected!

And secondly to the guys around me every weekend, my crash left me without a clutch lever. A part that costs less than a tenner. Without it I cant race! I was offered multiple replacements from multiple people which Im greatful for!

After three years away from Ellough Park, I was back for another full weekend of racing with FAB Racing, and there was one main goal: beat my previous lap time from 2023.

My previous best around Ellough was a 54.393, so getting into the 53s was the target.

Qualifying didn't exactly go to plan! πŸ˜… On my second lap of the first qualifying session I crashed, bringing that session to an early end. Thankfully, I was able to get back out for another session and managed to put together a 53.839, putting me P15 on the grid.

That was already a new personal best around Ellough, but there was still plenty of work to do in the races.

Race 1 – P13

Starting 15th, the aim was simply to put the qualifying crash behind me, stay out of trouble and work my way forward. I managed to gain a couple of places and finish 13th.

Race 2 – P14

Race 2 produced another positive despite only gaining one place to finish 14th.

The biggest highlight came on the timing sheet, where I managed to set another new personal best with a 53.706 lap! πŸ”₯

That's almost seven tenths quicker than my previous 2023 best of 54.393.

Race 3 – P14

The final race of the weekend saw me finish 14th.

The results weren't quite where I wanted them to be, but the overall pace was a massive positive and gave me plenty to take away from the weekend.

2023 – 54.393
2026 – 53.706
Improvement – 0.687 seconds 🏁

There's still plenty of pace to find, not just at Ellough but every track. The only place this year Ive felt strong was Lydd. Since then I've really struggled. Even though Im improving on myself, Im still not where I would like to be.

Thanks as always to everyone supporting DC Racing #6. πŸ’šπŸ

🏁 Stretton Round 5 – Race Report

Stretton Circuit Karting - Leicester
Helmet City.co.uk Ltd

After a positive start to the day, I qualified 4th on the grid. Unfortunately, there were only four riders entered, so I knew it was going to be a difficult day to make up places through outright pace.

I was too far behind in times, even after setting my best times around Stretton this year, Ashley, Steven Humphreys and Bradley Mark Powell were just on another level!

Across all three races, I finished 3rd, benefiting from mistakes ahead while making sure I stayed consistent and kept the bike on two wheels.

Sometimes racing is about taking the opportunities that come your way, and that's exactly what I managed to do.

Steven coming off in race 1 and Bradley having bike issues in race 2 helped make the best of a bad day.

Although the results don't tell the whole story, I came away feeling positive about my pace. After checking the timing, I set a new personal best around Stretton this year with a 39.205, improving on my previous best of 39.252. It may only be a small improvement, but at this level every hundredth of a second has to be earned.

Overall, the finishing positions came with a little bit of fortune, but the new personal best and the way the bike performed give me plenty of confidence going forward.

The August Stretton is being missed as Im away however the videos are always being added every friday to https://youtube.com/?si=HPoarBFo0y2e-jyb

🏁 Race Report – FAB Racing Round 3 | Hooton Park

Helmet City.co.uk Ltd
FAB-Racing

Another weekend complete at Hooton Park for Round 3 of the FAB Racing Championship.

After a difficult previous round, the goal this weekend was to reset, build confidence, learn a new track and continue making progress on the bike.

Qualifying: P9
Fastest Lap: 44.488

🏁 Race 1 – P10
Starting from P9, I had a strong start into turn 1 until we got backed up a little, I lost out on a position going into turn 2 and that was all race 1 had to offer for me!
I was able to stay with the bikes infront but not close enough to think about any moves before bringing the bike home in P10.

🏁 Race 2 – P10
For Race 2, I had a strong start making 2 positions on the first lap before dropping a place to Michael Medd who was flying from the back. I lost a further place to Perry Tomsett and managed to hold off Matty Reyland for the rest of the rest to finish P10.

🏁 Race 3 – P10 again! πŸ‘€
Heading into the final race of the weekend, I wanted to make atleast 1 position improvement on the previous 2 races. A messy first corner saw me find 2 places off the line and was passed by Ben and Michael. Could see the 2 riders really battling in front and as much as I dont wish to see it, I could see it was going to end with one or both of them coming off! Which happened a few laps later! I lost back out to Perry who rode amazing all weekend and finished in P10!

⚑ Weekend Summary
A much more positive weekend at Hooton Park with three consistent top-10 finishes.
Although there's always more pace to find, it's encouraging to see steady progress and continue building confidence every time I'm on the bike. Every lap is another opportunity to learn, improve and move closer to the front.

A huge thank you to my family, friends and everyone who supports me throughout the season. Your encouragement means a lot and keeps me motivated to keep pushing.
Now it's time to regroup, keep working and focus on the next round. πŸ‘ŠπŸοΈ

Round 5 of Stretton Circuit Karting - Leicester is currently a 50/50 as the dates have been changed so an update on that will be sent soon!
