Blaze came up against a strong and tall Preston side tonight in the Lancs league. We let them dictate the first quarter, where they took a big lead.
Second quarter, we started to play more of our own game and by the third, whilst the game was already lost, we successfully used what we had learnt in training, to really disrupt Preston’s play. So many interceptions and tips, we just need to work on utilising those turnovers to goal!
Proud of the girls tonight, without a full team, they still gave their all and we are so very grateful to Anya and Lilah who stepped in from our younger teams to help out. A real squad effort. 🐦‍🔥❤️💛🖤

Flames brought energy and determination to their match tonight and raced into a 9-0 lead after the first quarter. The speed and precision in passing and shooting was amazing as was the defensive pressure, causing mistakes and held balls by the opposition. An almost faultless display (coaches can always find something to improve) and the team should be very proud.

Third match of the week for the Flames 🔥 and third win! Playing the same opposition as Thursday we knew it would be a close match. At times we were messy, with stray passes utilised by Bolton to get back into the game but when we were composed and played our own game, we moved the ball quickly to goal. Excellent results for the first week of the season and well deserved 👏🏻🐦‍🔥💛🖤❤️

Phoenix had their first official game on Thursday night and they did so well against a well drilled team. With only a few of Pheonix available, Embers stepped in to support and the girls worked well together! ❤️
With a little more practice on our passing and catching, we will be ready for next time!

A great first 7 a side match for the Embers in the Lancs league against South Ribble. Every player marked their player very well resulting in lots of tips and turnovers. Passing up the court was great and players moved into space to give options for the ball. This created lots of shooting opportunities, which was brilliant as the team get used to the new formation. It's was fantastic to see their determination and eagerness to get to the ball. A great performance all round. Great work team 🙌🐦‍🔥💛🖤❤️🏐

Flames 8 - Bolton 7
A well fought win tonight for the Flames against a very fast Bolton team. In a really close, tense match in which every ball was contested we managed to keep our cool and play our own game which resulted in lots of shooting opportunities. A whole team effort with strong defensive work in all areas of the court and players showing their versatility by playing different positions. A good result for the first match in a new league Podium 7 Events
CPOM Aurelia - some amazing feeds into the shooters and constant defensive pressure on the opposition.
