We are a small friendly club which operates out of Hoghton Village Hall every Wednesday (school terms) and welcome children from the age of 5 to learn a new sport, have fun, meet new friends and improve their fundamental movement skills.

Judo is back on in the new year, open to all young people that want to try a completely different activity.
Wednesdays: (under 8s 6pm - 7pm),( 8years+ 7pm till 8pm).

A great night of Judo at Hoghton Judo Club

Absolutely fantastic Judo at the NorthWest Open at Leigh Leisure Centre (12/10/25). Rowena Birch President of British Judo handed out the medals, many smiles and many tears. It was great to see many coaches and Judo players, young and senior taking part from the North West.
A not so happy Yusuf got third place with bronze in his category, you know the passion is there when the judo for young people becomes more than medals for them, but taking that experience and going onto to improve and learning to become a better judo player than before and most of all becoming a much better person in life.
A great big thank you to all the organisers and volunteers, you know who you are. What a successful event. Looking forward to the next one.
