🌍Sport really does unite⚽️

Recently, India, our Gym Lab Supervisor, travelled to Swaziland with Challenge Ministries UK, volunteering within local communities and orphanages.

During her trip, India had the opportunity to build relationships, support with childcare and, of course, bring her passion for sport with her, leading a sports and fitness day and getting involved in plenty of football! 🏆

One thing that stood out was just how universal sport really is. The passion, enthusiasm, talent and love for football shown by the children was no different to what we see within our own community here in North Somerset. 🫶🏽

We were also incredibly proud to see a football kit, generously donated by NSRTC, make its way to Bulembu orphanage, where it was gratefully received by the children. đź’™

At North Somerset Sports Foundation, we see every day how sport can bring people together, create opportunities and build communities, and it’s very special to see that same impact thousands of miles away.

A huge well done to India for giving her time to such an amazing experience. 🙌

This morning our CEO Lucy and NSSF team members Max, Leo, Luke, Cj and Nate went to support Fostering North Somerset at their annual beach fun day!

We played games, laughed a lot and had so much fun!

A huge congratulations to our 2nd year students who received their first NCFE Diploma results today!đź‘Ź

We’re incredibly proud to share that every student passed, with several achieving Distinctions!🌟

These results represent just half of their full qualification, so there’s still more to come, but what a fantastic start and a reflection of all the hard work they’ve put in so far.

We were delighted to welcome Ben & Lewys from Network Plus to North Somerset Sports Foundation to visit the community they have so generously sponsored.

With thousands of people using our site each week, having life saving access to a defibrillator is incredibly important.

Its impact goes beyond our gates. Our rural location and position alongside a busy walking and cycling network mean this potentially life-saving equipment is also available to the wider community when it matters most.

A huge thank you to Network Plus for supporting NSSF and helping us make the Hand Stadium a safer place for everyone who uses it!
