So I got myself a new badge maker… and let’s just say I’ve had WAY too much fun playing with it! 😂❤️

Obviously our lovely Salty Dippers needed their very own badges, so I’ve been busy making these little beauties! 🦀🌊

I handed a load out to our swimmers this morning and I think they were just as excited about them as I was! 😂🥰 Who knew a little badge could bring so much joy?!

Now the question is… WHO ELSE WANTS ONE?! 👀

Whether you’re a regular dipper, a seasoned cold water swimmer or someone who’s been thinking about giving it a go, we’d love you to join our little community! ❤️

☀️ OK… WE GIVE IN… SUMMER IS OFFICIALLY OVER! ☀️

We’ve been hanging on for as long as we possibly could 😂 but after one final lovely sunny evening on the lake last night celebrating Jess’ birthday, it’s time to admit defeat… summer is over! 🥹🍂

That means our Aqua Park is now closing for the 2026 season ❤️

But we’re definitely NOT disappearing for winter! 🙌🏼

🏊🏼‍♀️ Swim sessions will continue with our new Friday and Saturday club
🏄🏼‍♀️ We’re open Saturday mornings for paddling
🥶 And we’ll be embracing the colder months with plenty more lake time!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who bounced, paddled, swam, splashed and laughed with us this summer. What a season it’s been! ❤️

Keep an eye on our page for our autumn/winter sessions and events… because apparently some of us actually enjoy getting in the lake when it’s freezing 😂🥶

Have you always fancied giving open water swimming a go? Maybe you already swim but would love some company? Or perhaps you just need something that gets you out of the house, clears your head and gives you that amazing post-swim feeling. 🥰

NOW is the perfect time to start!

The lake is currently still around 18°C, so rather than waiting until winter when that first dip can feel a LOT more daunting 🥶😂, come and start with us now and let your body gradually get used to the changing temperature as we head through autumn and into winter. 🍂❄️

❤️ OUR AMAZING TEAM OF 2026 ❤️

One of my absolute favourite things about running Mersea Water Park is getting to watch our young team grow up right in front of us 🥹❤️

As our busy season starts to wind down, our team is beginning to look a little different. Lots of our summer crew have now headed off to university, started college or gone back to school for their final years.

And although we’re definitely missing having them all around, we couldn’t be prouder of them. ❤️

For many of our team, Mersea Water Park is their first ever job. We get to watch them arrive nervous and unsure, learn new skills, make mistakes, grow in confidence, make friendships, take on responsibility and eventually become the ones showing the new team members what to do! 🥰

Some have been with us for several seasons now and it honestly feels like we’re watching them grow up.

They’ve worked through ridiculously hot days ☀️, crazy busy days 💦, hundreds of school children 😂, wet and windy days 🌧️ and those days where absolutely everything seems to happen at once!

They’ve lifeguarded, served burgers, fitted wetsuits, checked people in, taught activities, cleaned, carried, fixed things, made people laugh and helped create thousands of memories for the people who’ve visited us this year.

And most importantly, they’ve become a massive part of our little Water Park family. ❤️

We’re so proud to see them moving on to their next chapters - whether that’s university, college or another year of school and we hope they’ll take some of the confidence, skills and memories they’ve made here with them.

Hopefully this isn’t goodbye to too many of them either… because we’ll be waiting to welcome lots of familiar faces back next season! 🥰

So here’s a HUGE thank you to our Team of 2026.

Thank you for your hard work, your personalities, the laughs, the chaos and for helping make Mersea Water Park what it is.

We’re incredibly proud of you all. ❤️

And good luck with your next adventures… although once you’ve worked a summer at Mersea Water Park, we’re pretty sure nothing can scare you! 😂

❤️ WELL… WE’RE FEELING THE LOVE! ❤️

One of our swimmers sent us this after their swim at Mersea Water Park… they only went and made a HEART with their swim tracker! 🏊🏼‍♂️❤️

We absolutely LOVE this! 🥰

Proof that sometimes you don’t just leave your heart at Mersea Water Park… you SWIM one! 😂❤️

Now the challenge has officially been set 👀

Join us for our very popular full of fun and laughter Ladies night, with a mix of learning to paddle board or having a paddle if you already know how, kayaking, giggling your way around the aqua park and a leisurely swim or float around 🏊🏼‍♀️ the laughter is endless followed by dinner, hot chocolate and s’mores all included in the ticket price 🍫 🌸

These events are suitable for all abilities 🥰 All the kit you need for the day is included with a buoyancy aid and optional wet suit 💗

❤️ A LITTLE PERSONAL POST FROM ME ❤️

I debated whether to share this on here but this is a family run business, so it feels important to share that my lovely Mum sadly passed away on Tuesday💔

Mum was quite simply one of the strongest women ever she fought an incredibly hard battle with so much strength & courage never complaining & never wanting anyone to worry about her❤️

She always believed in me & pushed me to achieve whatever crazy idea I had this place simply wouldn’t be what it is today without her love encouragement & support behind me❤️

Some of you were lucky enough to meet Mum at our Retreat where she made so many of you laugh regularly put me in my place with her jokes & banter & made memories that she spoke about to everyone She genuinely described it as one of the best weekends she’d ever had & I will forever be grateful to every single person who helped make it so special for her❤️

I don’t think any of us will ever forget the ‘incident’ 😂 There I was 37 weeks pregnant got mum out paddling when the wind picked up & blew her off down the lake completely unable to help because she was laughing so much, she instead chose to sit there waving & cheering to everyone like the Queen while her heavily pregnant daughter did all the work😂❤️

You may have noticed I haven’t been around the park as much this season. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have an amazing team who stepped up & allowed me to spend precious time with my family❤️

I also want to say thank you to our wonderful customers for your patience when replies have been slower than usual or when I haven’t always been there❤️

Mum never wanted sadness she was one of the kindest caring & most loving people you could ever meet, so I don’t want this post to just be about losing her I want it to be a little celebration of her ❤️Of the woman who believed in me ❤️Who helped make this little family business possible ❤️ And who once made her 37 week pregnant daughter tow her across a lake while she waved to her audience like royalty 😂👑

Thank you Mum for always believing in me I hope I continue making you proud ❤️ Love Rebecca❤️xXx
