🏁 JUNIOR RACING – ROUND 6
🏆 Emily Returns to the Top!
With just **three rounds remaining**, the Junior Championship is still wide open, and Round 6 delivered another fantastic night of racing at Northern Raceway! 🏎️🔥
🏁 The Heats
Matthew dominated the heats to take a commanding victory, with Emma finishing second and Emily completing the top three.
Stanley looked set for a strong result in fourth, but controller problems in the opening heat cost him several laps.
Rueben and Jude finished seventh and eighth on the same lap, just behind Jack and Thomas, while Oscar claimed ninth ahead of Tom in tenth. Tom continues to be the only driver racing without a magnet fitted to his car! 💪
We also welcomed 2 first-time racers to the grid. Morris finished 11th, and Ashton rounded out the field in 13th. Jacob took 12th splitting them. Great to see some new faces joining the action!
The Finals
D Final – Tom's Comeback!
Things didn't look promising for Tom when his car refused to start! Luckily, sister Emma came to the rescue by lending him her car. Tom then fought his way through the field to claim the D Final victory. Talk about a family helping hand! 😂
C Final – A Three-Way Battle!
Jude, Tom and Rueben served up a close contest, with the lead changing hands during the race. Jude stayed close in third, but it was Rueben who held his nerve to take the win and progress to the B Final.
B Final – Jack Holds Firm!!
Jack led all ten laps to take the B Final victory. Behind him, Thomas and Rueben swapped positions lap after lap in a fantastic battle for second.
Stanley, who had driven well throughout the evening, suffered more bad luck when his car developed problems on the start line. Despite losing valuable laps, he put in a determined drive to catch the back of the field. Never give up! 👏
🏆 A Final – Emily Takes the Win!
The A Final promised plenty of action, and it certainly delivered!
Jack led the opening couple of laps before an off on lap two dropped him back to third. Emily took over the lead on lap three, but by lap four Emma had moved to the front.
Emma held the advantage for a couple of laps before Emily fought back to reclaim the lead and pull away over the closing three laps to take a brilliant victory!
It was a fantastic result for Emily, who had missed the last couple of rounds, while Emma marked her return after some time away with a superb second place. Jack completed the podium in third.
Matthew, having dominated the heats, set the fastest lap of the A Final. Unfortunately, too many offs cost him valuable ground, and despite his best efforts, he couldn't close the gap, finishing fourth.
A brilliant win for Emily, a fantastic return for Emma and another exciting night of junior racing!
With just three championship rounds remaining, every lap counts and the points battle is far from over.
