Late night session for me and my little gym buddy! 🎉
Finding time to train is one of the huge barriers facing mothers when it comes to training, so if it means a 20 minute session or a late one, then that’s just the way it has to be for now.
I always remind myself that ANY amount of exercise, is better than sitting on my arse! (

I told myself this time around I would be kind to myself and allow myself time to recover, time to rest, and time to enjoy this newborn bubble!
So here I am resting in bed at 11am in the morning with my newborn… 🙋🏽♀️

CLIENT SPOTLIGHT!
Claire has by far been the biggest trooper out of all my clients, come rain, freezing temperatures or sunshine, she turns up and gives it everything! I started ‘Ellavate Fitness’ over 5 years ago now. Initially it was a gap year concept, something I’d do for a year and then move on in a different career. However I soon fell in love with helping people along on their fitness journey.
Here I am 5 years later with heaps more knowledge and experience, gaining extra qualifications in ante and post natal exercise and as a women’s fitness specialist.
As a PT, I will say that I am a perfectionist, (all of my clients will back me up on that when it comes to form 😅) I train people with the mindset of if they can do it safely and effectively, activating all the right muscle groups, then I am setting them up for a bigger win, longer term!
I do not scream in your face or make your exercise until you throw up, but I do push my clients beyond what they think they can do, with encouragement, support and a good bit of optimism!
Here’s many more years to come! 💪🏼
CLIENT SPOTLIGHT:
Marielle started training with me when she was 5 months pregnant. She was keen to exercise safely while also setting herself up for the easiest post natal recovery. Her goal was to be able to fit into her pre-pregnancy clothes in a short space of time post birth.
In the left picture she was almost 9 months pregnant and in the right she was 15 weeks post partum. I’m NOT saying everyone NEEDS to or SHOULD look like this post partum (🙋🏽♀️I certainly didn’t!) I am however wanting to highlight all of the sweat, hard work and dedication that Marielle put in during her pregnancy which lead to her labour being natural and SUPER quick, as well as her recovery - the figure in the dress speaks for itself! 😍

- Maintains muscular strength and endurance.
- Improves mental health.
- Lowers risk of gestational diabetes.
- Lowers the odds of delivery complications during labour.
