🧡Hilton Harriers 1-1 Doveridge Ladies🧡

A point earned this afternoon as we played Doveridge at home in a league fixture 🤜🏻

Our Ladies grafted today and thoroughly deserved the point today! A lot of our players had played in a Charity Match yesterday but tired legs aside they gave it their all 💪🏼 We had a couple of last minute injuries/illnesses meaning players had to play out of position but we made it work 👏🏼

Hilton started strong, we quickly gained possession and was keeping hold of the ball whilst we warmed into the game! Seven minutes in we saw a great touch by Charlie to Gabs, who played the ball into the box to Megan, who laid it off for Walshy, where she smashed it home for Hilton with a great finish 🫡⚽️ We dominated the half and although Doveridge had their chances it was no test for our CB duo Meadow and Amy who were absolutely solid at the back! 🪨💪🏼

Second half we were holding on, we gave away a penno which left us with ten players briefly and luckily for us the penno was hit wide which was a massive let off for us! 😬 Doveridge ramped up the pressure but we saw Eve and Mawbs continuously breaking up their play. Terri played in CM out of position but kept hold of the ball looking for that link up! 🤝 Dani and Georgie at full back were defending well to stop any balls coming into our box and Inta our GK as usual had a great game sweeping everything up 🧹🧤

Unfortunately a bit of a manic period of the ball bouncing off everyone in the box saw Doveridge get a goal making the game 1-1
Both teams then battled on to get something out of the game but the game ended 1-1. A great result for us, but also frustrating as we held on for so long! ⚽️

Amazing today from the Ladies who kept their heads up all game!!! 👏🏼🧡

Shout out for the first half goes to Scarlett who chased every ball and made it count! ✨

⭐️ Hilton U10 Girls ⭐️

What. A. Game! 👏🏼⚽️

An end-to-end battle from these young ladies in their second game together, and what a difference from last week! 💪🏼

More tackles. More passing. More battling. More confidence. Exactly what we want to see! 👊🏼

🧤 Lacey was outstanding in goal once again! It’s becoming the norm now! 🔒

We were unlucky not to hold onto our lead, but full credit to the opposition. They grew into the game and had some strong, quick players who really tested us.

💪🏼 Diya stepped up brilliantly, making life much harder for their LM no.10 as the game went on.

But this is all about development — and today we saw it. More minutes in their legs, more experience, more understanding and another big step forward as a team. 📈

Plenty to work on, plenty to be proud of, and plenty more to come! 🔥

👏🏼 Massive thank you to all the parents for the fantastic support from the sidelines. It makes a difference!

HEADS UP. KEEP WORKING. 💪🏼

🐦‍🔥 UP THE PHOENIX! 🐦‍🔥
On to the next one! ⚽️🔥

⚽️Hilton Harriers 2-0 Draycott Victoria⚽️

A fantastic start for us, as we came away with a win over Draycott in our first game of the season! 💥 From the off, everyone put in a shift and worked hard for each other 💪🏼 We knew we had to step up this season and that’s exactly what we did this afternoon! 😊

Midfield battled hard all game to drive us forward towards goal! 🏃🏻‍♀️ Shout out to Walshy winning a huge number of headers and helping us regain possession ❤️‍🔥

Draycott did create chances throughout the game, but with the efforts from our back line and GK we managed to keep a clean sheet! 💪🏼

We took the lead with a great goal from Megan right on the stroke of HT, giving us a crucial boost going into the break ⚽️

Second half we continued to dominate the game, with Megan then scoring a beautiful free kick hitting top bins to put us 2-0 ahead we managed to run away with the game 🗑️

A massive well done to everyone today 👏🏼 the season is looking promising already! 🧡🧡
