🥋 From World Championships to Club Competitions: Your PKA Journey
Back in 1974, the PKA staged the world's first-ever kickboxing World Championships in Los Angeles — full-contact, professional fighters, the very top of the sport. That's where competitive kickboxing as we know it began.
Fast forward almost 50 years, and that same spirit of competition lives on in every KickboxUK class, just evolved into something for everyone, not just professional fighters.
Today, competition isn't reserved for the elite. It's a beginner having their first go at light sparring. It's someone who's trained for six months stepping up alongside someone who's trained for six years. Every age, every skill level, given a genuine chance to test themselves in a supportive, safe environment.
From world title fights to your first sparring session — same roots, same standards, all abilities welcome. 💪
