This Wednesday the village make their return to competitive football and it couldn’t get tougher as we are set to host premier Division Thorncliffe!

The clubhouse is open and entry is free, get yourselves down and support the lads on this massive night at Bentley ARLFC!

MATCH REPORT 8/8/26 vs Siddal

Bentley made the trip to Siddal at the weekend, who sat one place above the visitors in the table.

Bentley started strong on a scorching afternoon, Alex Golightly touching down in the corner after some good hands across the field.

Kieran Lewis returning from a broken ankle added the 2 from the touchline.

It wasn’t long before a similar passage of play saw Bentley increase the lead, again Alex Golightly crossing with Kieran Lewis adding the extras.

Poor defence saw Siddal cross under posts just before half time.

HT 6 – 12

Siddal came out strong in the 2nd half and kept Bentley under long periods of pressure, it was only a matter of time before they pierced the defence, they scored 3 unanswered try’s, as the heat and fitness took its toll on the visitors.

Credit to Bentley who rallied in the later stages if the game to make it a nervy finish, Charlie Harmer crossed next to the posts and Kieran added the conversation.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t to be any last-minute heroics and the game ended 20 – 18.
