WHRC Running Club

Another superb parkrun away day, with around 40 of us visiting the fabulous Goole parkrun. It was a busy one with the event smashing the highest ever attendance, but the team managed superbly.
Goole parkrun is definitely a jewel in the Yorkshire crown and definitely worth a visit.
Some great PB's from some of our runners today, but most of all everyone had a fantastic morning 🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🫖☕🍰🥐

Just 4 weeks to go to the start of our Couch to 5k course on Monday 14th September. We've had over 350 people complete the course in recent years, so come along and begin your running journey with us. It'll be supportive, safe, fun, and free.
Just come along on Monday 14th at 5.45pm and we'll register everyone, ready to start at 6pm.

Our popular Bootcamp is every Thursday at 6pm at Wheatley Hills Rugby Club.
It's totally free and all abilities are extremely welcome. Come along and give it a try 😁

It's Saturday today, so it has to be parkrun this morning.
Whilst we had members out and about all over, the majority were at Sandall Park, joining 423 runners and 30 volunteers for the visit of Esme Gummer, as part of her epic fundraising challenge!
Esmee is hosting 76 x 5k events across the UK. Not only that, but Esmee is running between each event, clocking up 5,000 km in 99 days.
10% of the amount Esmee raised will be donated to parkrun 🧡

A superb away run tonight from The Sportsman pub, with the fabulous Doncaster Slow Patrol joining us. There were 73 of us there tonight, an incredible turnout considering it's the height of the holiday session 🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🍺🍹🍷

Thrilled to have joined the Wheatley Hills RUFC celebration evening to enjoy the new facilities after a wonderful refurbishment of the club house and changing facilities.
We scrub up pretty well don't we!! 😝

Our fourth parkrun tourist trip today, to the beautiful Clumber Park parkrun. Another fabulous turnout, with over 30 of us making the trip. This summer just keeps on giving 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃‍♂️☕🥐🫖😎

Something a little different for some of our group tonight. 26 of us visited Manvers Lake for a taster open swim session. To say we thoroughly enjoyed it is a massive understatement. Great fun with some great friends and a special thank you to Teresa Lou Hubery and Amie Ledger at Manvers for organising us.

Another fabulous sunny away run, with over 60 of us enjoying the delights around Highfields Lake and Brodsworth. We've been blessed with wonderful weather this summer 🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🍺😎
