Things started far better for the Reserves this week, with the side managing to get through the opening minute without seeing anyone sent off. Progress. Although, there were two self-inflicted sin bins to come later onโฆ
Despite dominating the early stages, the Pound could only find themselves 1-0 up after ๐๐ข๐บ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ด finished a chance even he couldnโt miss, thanks to some brilliant work from ๐๐ช๐ญ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ค๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ.
The visitors then enjoyed a spell of good play and quickly found an equaliser. It wasnโt level for long, however, with ๐๐ข๐บ bagging his brace to fire Poundbury back into the lead.
With what ended up being a scrappy first half out of the way, the Reserves really came into their own after the break, creating chance after chance. Most of which, admittedly, really should have found the back of the net.
Thankfully, some of those chances didnโt go begging, with centre-back ๐๐ฐ๐ฃ ๐๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฏ๐ญ๐ฆ๐บ smashing home a penalty, alongside goals from ๐๐ฐ๐ฉ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐บ ๐๐ถ๐ง๐ง and ๐๐ช๐ญ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ค๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ.
Stalbridge would get one back through a nicely worked move, but in the end, the pressure proved too much. Poundbury added two more before the final whistle, with ๐๐ฐ๐ฃ grabbing his second and a belated debut goal for ๐๐ณ๐ค๐ฉ๐ช๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ค๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ฏ, which went in off the wingerโs head.
