Harriet has been a regular student to wind club and we couldnβt be more proud of her progress over the past year. She just returned from her first windsurf trip and kindly shared some of her journey with us:
βHey, my name is Harriet and Iβm a classical musician π The first time I stepped onto a windsurf board was not until my mid 20s, and I fell in love immediately. After moving down to Bournemouth last summer I joined Water Babes and improved so much thanks to the amazing teaching of Amber & Charly, and loved being part of an amazing community of like-minded and inspiring women who enjoy watersports π
My confidence on the water grew and grew, and I booked my first windsurfing trip abroad to Fuerteventura (see pics)! I completed my intermediate training and now use a smaller board with footstraps and a harness, bigger sails, can beachstart, fast tack and gybe (and even managed my first carve gybe too!) and got to ride some baby waves! I love going super fast and my dream is to one day windsurf bigger waves π Iβm about to do my Start Windsurf Instructor Course and the RYA Advanced Course this summer!π€
Iβm so grateful to Waterbabes for kickstarting my windsurfing journey and for giving me the confidence to just go for itβπ€

Endless rides, endless passion, endless connection β’
Weβve collaborated with south coast drifters to bring you a timeless design, inspired by vintage surf wear but with a clean, modern feeling.
The design represents our innate desire to be on the water and the joy of sharing that experience with others.
It celebrates the women at the top, pushing our sports to new levels and all the women they inspire to step out of their comfort zone.
This collection acts as a reminder of the Water Babes community as we step into a new chapter. This is not the end, itβs just the end of an era.
Launching soon β’

Itβs been 5 years since I lost my Dad to su***de.
Each year, I usually organise a fundraiser in his memory but this year I made the difficult decision not to.
Instead, I wrote a blog about living with grief and the healing power of the ocean.
