Sad news from the Hillsborough Club but the correct call given the forecast. An early conclusion to our 2026 season. 🌻❌

OFFICIAL STATEMENT – SUNFLOWER RACES

It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of this weekend’s Sunflower Races due to the forecasted storm conditions.

This decision has not been taken lightly. Following a lengthy period of deliberation and careful consideration of the forecast and the safety of everyone involved, the Club has reached the difficult conclusion that the event cannot go ahead.

We understand the disappointment this news will bring to our riders, teams, sponsors, officials, volunteers and spectators, particularly given the work and preparation that goes into an event of this scale. We sincerely thank everyone for their continued support and understanding.

Full refunds will be processed to all those who have paid in due course. We ask for your patience while these are arranged.

🌻 RACE WEEK 🌻

For the final time in 2026. It’s race week as we look ahead to this weekends Sunflower Trophy races at Bishopscourt. It’s always nice after a year in BSB to race at home. Jack is looking forward to getting back on the Scars Racing Ducati and continuing to learn.

BRITISH SUPERSPORT DEBUT ✅

RACE 2 - P16

An impressive second race ride by Jack aboard the Scars Racing Ducati in very difficult conditions. Jack just missed out on the points by one position after running as high as 12th before the wet rear tyre started to move around a lot as the track dried.

This weekend was all about learning a new bike and new class and most of all enjoyment. We came here thinking a top 20 would be a very good result and we have achieved that.

A massive thanks to Dale Mcelveen and Leigh Finlay and to the whole Scars Racing team for giving Jack this fantastic opportunity. Being in the garage of the new British Champions at 16 years old is something Jack can be very proud of. A huge well done to Scars Racing and Luke Stapleford on becoming British Supersport Champions in their debut year, a fantastic feat.

Now we head home to the Sunflower Trophy races at Bishopscourt next weekend where Jack will once again ride the Scars Racing Ducati. 🌻

Qualifying - P23

Race 1 - P23

First Supersport race complete for Jack today at Brands Hatch. Jack qualified just 2.5 seconds off pole which is a great achievement. In race 1 Jack made a great start before having to avoid an incident at turn 3 which left him at the very back of the pack, Jack fought his way through to 23rd again setting his fastest lap of the weekend just 1.9 seconds off the fastest lap of the race which is something we are all very happy about for his first ever race at this level.

A huge well done to Scars Racing and Luke Stapleford on clinching the British Supersport Title🏆

DAY 1✅

First day on the Scars Racing Ducati complete. A baptism of fire with a soaking wet FP1 followed by a dry FP2. Lots to learn but Jack is loving the challenge and finding his feet on the Supersport bike.
