As we head towards the end of the school holidays, it’s time to think about the new activities that we might take up for both our children and ourselves in the autumn.

There are all sorts of things you can do at Merryoaks Community Hall. -

Playgroup, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, cardio, boot camp, weights, karate, kids archery, Carumba, kundalini

Quilting, crafts, crochet, book club, art, ukulele, folk band, orchestra, keyboards, talk groups, companionship café

Too many to list properly here…

What are you interested in doing? Let us know, see if there is a group for you. Or drop into our next coffee morning (that’s one I missed) on Saturday September 5th, 11am. You can meet up with neighbours and Hall volunteers to find out what is happening. At the same time you can bring along your small electricals for safety testing by the PATmen, and Vanny the econ van from Ecologico will be there so you can stock up with your cupboard essentials in your own jars and boxes.

We love to hear from you so message us about what you are interested in doing and we will see if we can match you up with the right class. Or call in, we are generally open 9-5 (but please check before travelling, especially during the school holidays when not so many volunteers are available) - see, there is another one- become a hall volunteer, it’s a really good way to meet people and help your community.

And don’t forget we have lots of primary school uniform FREE,

Two great new classes starting at Merryoaks Community Hall in September- MERRY UKES, an absolute beginner Ukulele group, and THE MERRYFOLK BAND, folk workshop for singers and players. Both groups are led by Ian McKone, a fantastic local musician well known for his teaching, folk groups and performances.

All the details you need are on the posters.
