I talk about resistance work being pretty vital for women so I’m just practising what I preach!

I’ve never really been an avid gym goer as I have always worked out at home… but why not try something new?

I am LOVING it 🥳💪🏼

The list of benefits of resistance training for women is LONG, trust me 😉

Two hours of digging in the garden and I gave myself permission to skip the gym 😆

I strength train so I’m able to do things like this because I enjoy the sense of achievement from what I’ve done in the garden and what I’ve done for my body 💪🏼

I did a little foraging in the wild garlic! Made some pesto and had it on toast for breakfast 😋

At this time of year, nature provides us with some of the best produce if we know where to look. Give it a go!

Sorry to my ladies in class this morning for my foraged, wild garlic breath 😆

Inset day hair do from my daughter 😆 even short hair can still be stylish 🥴

Although apparently I look like a dragon, so I’ll happily take that 💪🏼 🐉

Oh…

I’ve not been running regularly and clearly it shows as recovery is usually in hours.. not days!!

I find sitting down to work really challenging and screen overload kind of boggles my brain.

So when my pal asked if I’d help paint her shed, I’m in!! Physical breaks in work patterns really work for me, and have been proven to make most of us more productive.

The change in mindset and a different conversation from work based ones also helps with creativity and focus.

How do you break up your working day up?

Which leggings are a bit of you?

I LOVE leggings, the crazier the better 😆 and I like to award who is winning leggings at class, but also socks too 🧦

For me, number 5 is the winner 🏆 🤣

When I’m not teaching my own classes, I do like to attend others for my own fitness!

I really enjoy Kiera’s classes at missionfiitactivityhub

Having taught my classes here too, I do like to support local business, especially those run by women 💪🏼

How did you start your weekend?

We met in the park on a beautiful sunny Saturday for bootcamp for functional fitness and chit chat. An all over body workout adaptable to suit individual needs using all the equipment.

A friend of one of our ladies was worried about joining because she wasn’t hugely fit and doesn’t buy into broccoli smoothies and health fads….

That’s really not our vibe. Things we talked about-
Annoying partners leaving the loo seat up
Children giving us grey hair/saggy b***s
Last nights curry and gin
Excitement for the weekend
And ALWAYS laundry

Our community is one of the best things about Saturday morning 🥰
But I do like broccoli too 🥦 😆

Glutes, ab wall & pelvic floor to lift things up 😊🐾🐾
