The final of our pre-race interviews in the lead up to the 2026 South Downs Way 100 & 50km.
Hosts Julia Davis and Robbie Britton welcome Nicole Funnell. Third at the SDW100 last year in 16:58. The fourth fastest all time performance.
Later that summer, Nicole went on to finish fourth at Lakeland 50. In April, Nicole finished second at the British 100km Champs representing England.

UK and international runners will go head-to-head this weekend at the 2026 South Downs Way 50km, with a stacked men's field set to race across the iconic South Downs trails.
As part of the Series, where the South Downs Way 50km serves as the Short Distance event, athletes from across Europe and beyond will line up alongside some of the UK's strongest trail and road runners in what promises to be an exciting day of racing.

With so much quality throughout the field, spectators can look forward to an exciting contest as the battle for the title unfolds across the rolling hills of the South Downs Way.

🎙New podcast- SDW100
Co-hosts Julia Davis and Robbie Britton welcome Hugh Tibbs to the pod.
Hugh has finished second here in both of the last two editions, posting a 14:13 in 2025. Won the Arc of Attrition in January in a just off course record time before finishing fourth at the ACP/ British 100km Champs in 6:37.
In October he set a new 100 mile trail record on British soil of 13:03 at the Autumn 100. And he is our North Downs Way 50 course record holder.

🎙New podcast - SDW100
As part of our Pre-Race interview series for the upcoming South Downs Way 100, Centurion coaches Julia Davis and Robbie Britton chat to Robyn Cassidy.
Fourth at TransGranCanaria in March, this is the second stop on the World Trail Majors circuit for Robyn.
She was the 2024 Lakeland 100 Champion, following on from a landmark win at the 2023 Dragons Back Race.
The Montane athlete has also secured second at other prestigious events like Arc of Attrition, Winter Spine Race (Full) and UTS100km - all in the last 3 years.
