Importance of stretching before and after workout.
Stretching before workout keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. That puts you at risk for joint pain, and muscle damage.
When everything is cold, the fibers aren't prepared and may be damaged.
Stretching should be a part of your workout routine, given the same importance as strength and cardiovascular training.
Stretching after workout
After an intense workout, the heart pumps blood faster. Stretching allows the body to cool down and also helps the heart beat to return the normality. The release of lactic acid during an intense workout is stopped with stretching. This allows muscle recovery. 💪
