Come & Try Golf at GolfIt!

Our Scottish Golf Young Leaders are putting their leadership skills into action by organising and delivering and Come & Try day for women and girls with a disability or long-term health condition 💙

Taking place at GolfIt! on Sunday 20 September, the session is open to new golfers and anyone looking to return to the game.

The Young Leaders have created a relaxed, fun and welcoming day featuring:

🏌️‍♀️ A coaching clinic
⛳ On-course play
🤝 Opportunities to socialise and connect with others

The session is open to females aged 10+ with a physical, learning or sensory disability, or a long-term health condition.

Yesterday we held our latest 9 hole Flag and 18 Hole Stroke Play event at Turnhouse Golf Club Ltd . Many thanks to them for hosting the event. The 81 boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed the course.

The best boy score of the day came from Rory Laird Merchants of Edinburgh Golf Club Pro Shop with an excellent 69 while for the girls Carla Burns Douglas Park Golf Club shot an impressive 75.

In the flag event Jamie Heathwood Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society shot 35 in U15 boys and Alessandro Di Ciacca Swanston Golf Club shot 35 in the U10 boys. For the girls Evelyn Playford Broomieknowe Golf Club and Erin Doherty Crail Golfing Society both shot 39 in the U14 girls.

They will take on the Continent of Europe this weekend in Ireland.

Today we held our latest 9 hole flag and 18 Hole stroke play event The West Lothian Golf Club

Many thanks to everyone at the club for given up their course for the kids today and all the help in organising the event. The course was in fantastic condition for them all the 88 boys and girls taken part.

The lowest score of the day for the boys was Harry Mody Swanston Golf Club with a 74 and for the girls Sophie Macintosh Whitecraigs Golf Club Pro Shop and Tarah Simpson The Blairgowrie Golf Club scored 86

In the flag event for the boys Grayson Kerr Kingsfield Golf & Leisure was best of the day with a 32 over the 9 holes and for the girls Aria Prentice Glenbervie Golf Club with a 38
