What a fantastic weekend of pre-season action at Murrayfield, as our U12s, U16s and U19s took to the ice for the first time as the Edinburgh Capitals Academy.

We were treated to some fantastic and entertaining games throughout the weekend as we hosted our very own tournament.

A huge shout-out to Caroline Astor and all the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the two days such a success. 👏

Tonight 15 year old forward Ryan Chambers will make his Edinburgh Capitals debut against Dundee Rockets.

Ryan has been training with the team since the start of the year and will be in the line up this weekend.

Today saw the beginning of the Edinburgh Capitals Academy era here at Murrayfield. Our U14’s finished runners up in the tournament and our U10/LTP had lots of fun out there in their X-Ice action.

It was great to see the new kits on show as well, they look brilliant 🤩

Congratulations to Dundee on winning the event and thanks to North Ayr for also taking part.

Next weekend will see all other age groups take to the ice, get yourself along and watch the stars of the future 🦁

As we prepare for an exciting new chapter for junior hockey in Edinburgh, we’re already building our squads for the 2026/27 season.

We’re looking to recruit experienced players to strengthen our teams at U12, U14, U16 and U19.
