The most wonderful thing happened!
I have been away from the farm due to family business and look what happened in my absence; Arabesque decided to foal three weeks early!
I have returned to the most exquisite, exceptional and utterly breathtakingly beautiful double dilute filly sired by GFS Fire and Ice.
I think she is a smoky cream, but whatever her official colouration, I could not be more delighted or more excited by her sheer quality. This little lady can move, at 24 hours old she was running running rings around her gorgeous mother and demonstrating both blinding speed and the balance of an acrobat. She is also showing all of the grace of a gazelle and the expressive style of a prima ballerina,
I am both thunderstruck and wonderstruck by this sensational filly and I feel it fair to warn everyone that the photos and video footage will be endless for this one!

I will be spending some time taking more photos in the glorious sunshine and loose jumping the remaining youngsters ready for their sales photos and video.
We have some absolute humdingers for anyone in search of a super two year old with an abundance of talent and sensational temperaments; they are pretty good looking too!

We are getting to the fun stuff now!
Once the foaling is over, health checks complete and the nurturing nursery time is easing off slightly as the foals grow in both strength and confidence, we start to see the future horse start emerging as they start to develop their own identity and each unique character gradually emerges.
This Balloutaire x Diarado/Corland c**t is a compete dream to look at, deal with and simply heaven to watch as he lets rip in the wide open spaces that we are lucky enough to be able to offer our mares and foals. The only downside is that they disappear from focal range pretty quickly at the speed these equine athletes travel at! This particular young man appears to run on high octane rocket fuel as he sets his course and just flies! I get the feeling that this c**t may be one to watch...
I am going to have a lot of fun this year trying to capture this young scoundrel in all of his photographic glory, and he is is not the only one. We have some pretty high flying speed demons this year who I have a feeling will be demonstrating some fairly impressive freestyle paddock master classes in foal frolics! Watch this space...

Have a look at this sensational c**t's transformation since his birth on Saturday morning. He is going to be a very big boy, utterly captivating and incredibly handsome too.
The photos were taken at a little over 24 hours old and 36 hours. It will be fun in the paddock tomorrow!
He is by GFS Lord of the Dance, a full brother to GFS Man in the Moon in Ireland.
I will add some video in the comments which was taken this morning and although he is still getting used to moving that huge frame, you can see what a tremendous walk he has and the makings of an absolutely fantastic canter.
This is going to be one very exciting prospect for the future and I don't think he could be much more glamorous as he has not only got the most golden coat, but he has also benefited from that marvelous iridescent gene that makes his dam, his sire and so many of their offspring inherit x

I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to witness the miracle of life so many times in my career, no matter how many times you are present at that incredible moment, it never loses its complete magic.
In the small hours of this morning Pepper gave birth to an absolutely exceptional, stunningly beautiful and enormous palomino c**t by GFS Lord of the Dance. We were blessed with an easy birth and a foal who makes me think that maybe he has been here before! This c**t was born so switched on and chilled out, he guzzled two full bottles of colostrum with gusto as we attended all of the critical checks and post birthing jobs.
He also has such tremendous control of those super long, strong, perfectly straight legs and before he was even dry he was back in search of more milk and cavorting around the stable with wild abandon and the sheer joy of being alive.
This superb c**t is a full brother to the very popular up and coming young stallion GFS Man in the Moon. He has inherited his dam's iridescent coat and clearly her winning character, intelligence and wonderful temperament.
If you want to see this stunning foal in your stable and to invest in a potential superstar of the future, you are going to have to be quick!

Here is probably the biggest GFS character of the year, if not ever! This gorgeous filly is just charm personified. She is calm, bold, friendly, very clever and so very mannerly. Manners don’t usually come with bold, confident and friendly at this age, but Angel’s filly simply is an angel!😇
This exquisite foal is not only as athletic as you would expect from an Arko III x Calvados dam and by our own GFS Fire and Ice with his super eventing lines (Rock King x Bohemond -his dam and some really super Knabstrupper x Kindky warmblood on his sires) She is also the most sensational mover with an incredible trot and super balanced canter.
Both of these lovely ladies are sadly for sale either at weaning or together now. Angel can also be returned in foal…

I think that it is time to share my photos of Charisma's devilishly handsome c**t at 48 hours old - forgive the complete photo overload!
He is by GFS Lord of the Dance and a full brother to GFS Mikado. He has the most beautiful head and the most glorious long legs. We are all quite smitten with this handsome lad and he really is charm personified.
This stunner is also sold now, so if anyone is hoping to snag one of the last GFS foals, there is only one now remaining, and although we do have three more to foal, one of those has been sold in utero so potentially only two more that will be available!
I will try and post some video footage in the comments because my goodness, these two are absolute poetry in motion and pure joy to watch moving.

Due to an incredibly busy week, I have managed to accumulate a rather extensive cache of photos chronicling the first six days of this little beauty without managing to share them. So, I thought it might be quite interesting to see how rapidly a foal grows and develops each week, the speed of transformation from spindly, minimally coordinated with virtually no muscle tone to well developed, athletic young horses full of confidence in their newfound abilities and starting to show a glorious hint of the regal beauty and sheer power to come.
This lovely foal is very elegant, feminine and graceful; she has inherited the glorious movement of both her dam and sire and as you can see, she has that classic GFS Fire and Ice head. She is the softest sweetest character with the most gentle nature.
Both this divine filly and her lovely mother have been sold to the US and are destined to join a professional home with an emphasis on dressage, but they will be staying here a while which will give me plenty of opportunity to continue updating her progress.
