We have had to make the difficult
decision to keep in line with the current national guidance for preventing Equine Flu.
We will be checking horse passports to make sure that horses that are entered for the Exe Equestrian Club show on 14th June are vaccinated against flu.
Please make sure that if you are entering that you have your horse's passport with you..
NO PASSPORT, NO VACCINATIONS = NO ENTRY.
While at the show please
- don't allow horses to come into nose contact with each other
- don't share haynets or water buckets
- don't touch other horses
- don't bring your horse if he/she has had a raised temperature, nose discharge or cough with in the seven days leading up to the show.
These are in line with the biosecurity guidelines published by the BVS and BHS to prevent the spread of Equine Flu.
It's hard for us to have to do this but we're sure that none of us would like our horses or anyone elses horse to suffer with this horrible illness. We want all the horses who come to our events to stay healthy and take their welfare seriously.

We have a winner of our competition!
Well done to Bella Cox who answered the questions correctly and gave us some lovely reasons for wanting to win the lessons with the lovely Trina Owens!

The health and welfare of horses that come to our events is very important to us at the Exe Equestrian Club. We are aware of the biosecurity protocol that has been issued by a local equestrian venue.
Please be reassured that we are monitoring the situation very closely and will update on 7th June about whether we have to introduce biosecurity at our show on June 14th.
In the meantime please check that your horse is up to date with his/her vaccinations and that you have their passport, thank you.
