Barham AFC U12 0–7 Filey Town U12
Filey Town U12s made the trip to Barham AFC for their fourth consecutive away fixture, and despite the challenging, windy conditions, they produced an excellent all-round performance to secure a convincing 7–0 victory.
10' – Isaac Bosomworth ⚽️
Filey started brightly after Barham played a long ball into the heart of the defence. Filey quickly regained possession, got the ball down and began playing their usual passing game. Despite creating several opportunities, they initially struggled to find a way through, while Barham won a couple of corners in a short spell.
The breakthrough finally came from a well-worked team goal. Filey played short from a goal kick, with Charlie Allanson and Roman Halifax combining through a series of neat one-twos. Charlie then played Isaac Bosomworth in down the left, and Isaac drove towards goal before calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper, who had little chance of stopping the finish.
17' – Freddie Coutts-Lawson ⚽️
Filey continued to apply the pressure, with excellent work from the defence and midfield allowing the team to recycle possession and move the ball forward quickly.
This time, Isaac turned provider, delivering a superb left-footed cross into the box. Freddie Coutts-Lawson arrived at the back post and bundled the ball home to double Filey's advantage.

Filey made it three with another excellent piece of attacking play. Harry Thompson showed great strength and awareness to hold the ball up inside the box with his back to goal before spotting Freddie in space.
The lay-off was perfectly weighted, allowing Freddie to unleash a powerful finish that left the Barham goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

Filey went into the break firmly in control, dominating across the pitch and showing quality in every department. Matty in goal was also impressing, with his excellent distribution consistently finding teammates and helping Filey build attacks from the back.
33' – Harry Thompson ⚽️
Filey wasted little time after the restart in turning the screw. With the wind and slope of the pitch in their favour, they continued to put Barham under pressure.
A throw-in on the right, taken by Freddie, saw the ball fall perfectly for Harry, who struck it on the half-volley and thundered it home to make it four. Harry's work rate and teamwork had been outstanding throughout, and his goal was a deserved reward.
37' – Freddie Coutts-Lawson ⚽️
Filey added a fifth after capitalising on a loose goal kick from the Barham goalkeeper. Freddie found himself in space, controlled the ball well and set himself before driving a superb shot towards the far post from distance.
It was an excellent finish that further underlined Filey's attacking threat.
42' – Isaac Bosomworth ⚽️
Chiko Dodzo's selfless work rate was once again at the heart of Filey's performance. She seemed to be everywhere, working tirelessly and helping the team in every area of the pitch.
After winning the ball in a deeper midfield position, Chiko laid it off to Isaac, who unleashed an absolute rocket with his left foot. The strike flew into the top-right corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
57' – Isaac Bosomworth ⚽️
Isaac wasn't finished there! Noah Tindall found him in space on the edge of the box, and Isaac made no mistake, this time using his right foot to fire home and complete the scoring.
It was a fantastic way to round off an impressive attacking performance, with Isaac finishing the match with a hat-trick.

A thoroughly deserved victory for Filey Town, who showed great teamwork, quality on the ball and clinical finishing throughout the match. The clean sheet was equally pleasing, with the whole team contributing to an excellent defensive display who work hard for the team.
Credit must also go to Barham AFC, who played their part in the contest despite the difficult, windy conditions. A big thank you to the hosts for going ahead with the fixture despite the challenging weather forecast.
On a day when Storm Boelo threatened to disrupt grassroots football, both teams got out on the pitch and made the most of it.
Another away day, another excellent performance, and another three points for Filey Town U12s!
